Mediterranean terrace apartment with Bikes & SUP

It's a comfortable, well equipped apartman with a very cosy terrace in the central of Skradin. In April it wasn't loud. Market, restaurant, café, port, playground, free parking place are near.(1-200 meter). Our host was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect holiday, I recommend it.

What was NOT to like? Our hosts, Mr and Mrs Marasovic' were marvelous. Mr M. met us at the parking lot and helped us with our luggage to the apt. Along the way he gave us lots of information about the town. The apt is upstairs from their home and was so pretty. He insisted on carrying my (way too heavy) suitcase to the flat. Once we arrived, Mr. M gave us a full "tour" of the apt and we toasted our stay with a liqueur. The photos on booking.com do not do justice to the property. The patio is a mediterranean garden of blooming lantana bushes and other lovely plants; such a nice spot to enjoy a cold beer. The apt is well designed, VERY comfortable, and SPOTLESSLY clean. Wifi worked just fine. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets (no poly "microfiber" to make you sweat.) Our bedroom window opened to a street where I was able to photograph a HUGE wedding party walking the streets of Skradin...perfect! Bathroom was very functional and clean. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Every aspect of the apt showed the owners had put great effort in creating a beautiful mediterranean ambiance. The apt is on the same medieval stairs that take you up to the city fortress, which is a perfect location in town. Yet, it is very quiet in this part of town, especially at night. As you can tell, I really loved this place. We have been in Croatia now for almost a month and have stayed in 7 places (2 hotels and 5 flats). This darling apt stands out as my favorite.

We meet at the entrance of Skradin for delivering the keys and they accompanied us to the apartament. We had to go up several stairs and they helped us with the suitcases. The host were very kind The appartment is perfect for a family. Very well situated, and with all the comodities

At the beginning we couldn't find in google maps the name of the place they told us to be for receiving the keys, but we asked them to send a photo, and we find the place. Perhaps it's better to indicate a concrete place to meet (next to Hotel X, supermarket, etc..) that appears in google maps

Where do we start? We all LOVED this stay. The hosts were incredible and went above and beyond for us. From meeting us to carrying our bags to toasting us with their homemade brandy. Ivica explained all there was to see in the local area, they lent us a paddle board (which our teenagers spent all day on at the beach) and Ivica and his wife cooked us the most delicious dinner, with herbs and salad from their garden, home made desert and then fresh figs for breakfast the next day. The apartment was immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, homely, pretty, and with lovely personal touches throughout. The terrace was peaceful and relaxing, and there are lovely places to eat nearby. We chose this location to visit Krka, but we would come back to see Ivica & Visnja! (I hope that I have spelt that correctly) We have been travelling around Croatia for a couple of weeks now, and this place is a true 10/10 exceptional. The hosts made it extra special as we love a personal approach. Thank you all again for the most wonderful time.

The property has a nice big terrace and in the middle of the small lovely city and still quiet. Both air cons working properly in each room. The hosts were very helpful with parking and luggage.

To be fair, few comments for next guests to manage expectations: Very steep stairs to the property which is on second floor (tough for luggage, small kids and walking restrictions). It is not beachfront, few hundred meters to walk to the river beach. It is not two-bedroom apartment in common sense, it is one bedroom where in living room there is a bed (together with kitchen), which leaves no space to be, if terrace not possible to use during the rain.

Charming place to stay in a central location. Beautiful family, great welcome with advice as needed. We appreciated the earlier check-in, the ''cheers" on arrival and fruit after a hot afternoon with the SUP on the river beach. The accommodation had all the amenities we needed, with the quirky, personal touches of the owners. Tucked away in a quiet area, the terrace was a perfect place to relax. Location was excellent - we wished we could stay longer to use this property as a base.

The Appartement is small but it has everything you need, it is clean, good air conditioning, and my favorite thing of all it has a very lovely terrace where we loved to eat together or just sit and read or play games. The host family and especially Ivan where really very very nice and did everything to make our stay was perfect. They really made us feel welcome!! The apartment is situated directly in the cute small harbor town Skradin which had a super cute vibe to it! We used the 2 bikes that we got from Ivan and rented two smaller bikes for our 2 kids at a bike rental shop nearby to bike to the Krka Waterfalls. All very uncomplicated. This is a 15 minute bike ride from the apartment and the route is lovely. The whole experience was great!

Ivan, our host was amazing, helping us with our heavy luggage and giving us tips on activities. We were offerred the SUP and bikes, but unfortunately just didn't have time to use either. The flat is in perfect condition, and tastefully decorated. The windows have sliding mosquito nets, which can be sprung upwards so as to be able to close the shutters. The tv had loads of International channels (we didn't watch). We appreciated the air conditioning in both rooms. The windows face the pedestrian zone. We could hear people on ocasions, but it wasn't very loud. The small town is charming and relaxing. We loved the terrace, which was very private, however, without a view.

These are not criticisms, but be prepared that it is a few hundred meters to the water, so quite a distance to carry the SUP. The stairs are steep, so the flat is not suitable for anyone with walking issues. The Internet was not always stable during our stay. The price of 40 € for the national Park of Krka is excessive. The park is nevertheless worth a visit, although not as impressive as Plitvica.
