Carera Rovinj

The apartment is located on the second floor in a very old house in the old city centre. You enter the house using the keys, because there is no door handle from the outside. The stairs are narrow and squeaky. Everything is really really old. Once you enter the apartment, the story changes. It is cozy and well equipped. Clean and with a welcoming feeling. We (2 adults and a teenager) stayed there in cold winter period (freezing temperatures) for 3 nights. Air conditioning serves as the main heating source for the living room/kitchen. The bedroom is heated by an oil radiator. Bathroom has no heating, but we didn't miss that at all. The kitchen has all the equipment you will probably need, although I would trade half of those 30+ glasses for a quality mid sized teflon pan... The freezer/refrigerator has plenty of space, there is also a dishwasher (which we wouldn't use). The hop has 3 gas powered cooking zones, one of which needs to be repaired. There is a hair dryer and even a washing machine in the bathroom. For the price given (at least in our February period) we were very satisfied. The location is great, Rovinj is astonishing, internet runs fast, the apartment is really clean and tidy. We didn't met with the host, but the communication was prompt and useful.

I wouldn't use the apartment in summer as there is not enough space for swimming gear and neither space for drying laundry. Another nuisance is the construction of this old house: the floor is so thin that every sound goes through it. We didn't really bother until the neighbor bellow us left a note with "instructions" (to put it in a nice way) on how to walk and move the chairs so that they could "suffer" our presence. Said that, we really aren't some "party" type guests. We don't even listen to loud music or movies. Just normal walking, cooking, talking. So it was a bit annoying not being able to laugh spontaneously or just walk in the apartment the way we are used to...

Perfect stay! The apartment is very beautiful and well equipped - the location is amazing. The host was super helpful. Definitely coming back.
