Old Captain's Apartments - in a pine wood by the sea and tennis courts

Stayed in the ground floor apartment for five nights and it was lovely. Clean, homely, and comfortable beds and AC. Outside area is peaceful and shaded, located close to the beach, a great swimming spot. Lots of restaurants nearby and a small supermarket very close by and a large spar just up the road. Jelena, Sasha, and their family are lovely and welcoming people- couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

Nothing- it was perfect

Perfect location, a little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautifully large rooftop terrace to enjoy the view across the marina and sea. Nice swim spot nearby, supermarket and restaurants nearby, and a short 20 minute walk to the city center. Owners are lovely and helpful.

Location is superb. Minutes from a sandy beach and 20 minutes walk from Split old town. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The view from the property is great. Owners are really helpful and friendly. Parking for a car.

Be aware that it’s up 3 flights of stairs, but not a problem for us to get that view.

The hosts were very nice! This property is in the BEST location!!! Private parking which is gated!!! A SANDY beach that is literally a 5 min walk from the property! We swam everyday for the 3 days we were there AND we just brought towels and toys for our kids. When we got hungry we walked back to the apartment to eat. The Sandy beach is the BEST for kids!! Shallow and clear! My son and I watched tennis one evening as well since the tennis courts are right next to the apartment. There is a small grocery store across the street but there is also a big SPAR grocery store 7min walk away. We went to the SPAR and it was cheaper with a huge variety! We cooked breakfast all 3 days in the apartment and we cooked dinner one night as well. There are many many restaurants close by if you do not want to cook. The air conditioning is amazing! We used the washer and drying rack outside all 3 days as well. Thus apartment is GREAT for families! We also walked to the old city one night and it was about a 25 min walk. It was nice but the beach is the BEST! The hosts will answer any questions you have! Truly a great apartment with great location to beaches and secure and safe for families!

We were a 6 person group travelling together in 2 cars. We stayed in the Old Capitain's Apartment on the ground floor of the building and found it clean and comfortable for our needs. Sasha and his family were wonderful hosts and welolmed us as friends - we were also privileged to meet and have a conversation with The Captain. Sasha spent time talking about the history of the place - and The Captain, which was very special. The apartment is in a quiet part of town with many good bars and restaurants. Also, a pleasant stroll into town along the foreshore is easily achievable - even for our group with late 60's, early 70's dodgy knees 😀

For me a great location. High above the Marina at Zeta. Gorgeous views and quiet. Easy walk to local shop and restaurants. Not too far to walk into Split old city, and passing some great beach front bar/restaurants. Every where feels leisurely and safe. Very friendly and helpful family/hosts live on site. The room is a roof top annexe, with facilities, equipment neatly provided. Also a huge balcony looking over the Marina.

I had forgotten about smoking, in Croatia. Seems no control in bars, restaurants, taxis.
