D20 - Gozsdu Garden Residence - Best Location by BQA

Looks like a newly renovated apartment, which is a plus. Apartment is air-conditioned, which was great for the hot summer days that we where there. The location was good. Easy access to transportation, restaurants, and shops.

There were a couple minor fixture issues but can be easily fixed. A few extra towels (floor & hand towels) in bathroom and kitchenet (dish towels) would help greatly.

The Deluxe Apartment's listing says "1 living room, 1 separate bedroom", but it is not true. There is no separate bedroom. The owner/manager initially insisted that I got what I paid for, but after much back and forth they had to recognize that there was no separate bedroom as advertised. They offered me 6% refund as compensation, but that was inadequate given the difference in value between a studio apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. I filed a complaint with Bookingcom and they just refunded me more than three times that amount. One month after I raised the discrepency with the owner/manager, the online description stills says "1 separate bedroom" (see screen capture).

It is in an amazing historic courtyard apartment at the Jewish quarter of Budapest. The entrance makes you feel like you are in a historical movie. The place was clean, the staff were quite helpful throughout the stay. Would definetely recommend for solo travellers. I only chose the place it was close to my office but I know where to stay now for my next visits.

The location of the apartment is excellent, a colorful neighborhood in the very center, full of cafes, pubs and restaurants. All important locations are a few minutes walk away. The owner of the apartment (Eyal) was extremely friendly, communication was fast and easy, he gave us clear instructions how to make self check-in and allowed us to leave our luggage in the nearby office (before check-in and after check-out). He also sent us very useful recommendations to make our stay in Budapest as pleasant as possible. The apartment (unit number 1 out of a total of 3 in this accommodation) is beautiful, clean, tidy, extremely modern and nicely decorated. And it still smells like new! Air-conditioned and quiet, no surrounding noise is heard. Bed was very comfortable. Everything looks as shown in the photos. We will definitely return to this apartment when we in Budapest again!

I only didn't know that the room we would get wasn't the exact same room pictured. But it was still very comfortable and clean.
