• Recently renovated apartment with a cozy interior and high ceilings that give it an airy feel. Big old-timey doors and windows also add to the vibe. • Blackout shutters in the living room and connecting bedroom take care of the light coming from the street. • Apartment seems well-equipped for a long-term stay, with a washing machine, vaccuum cleaner, mops, iron, and other supplies. We only stayed for a week, so we didn't really get to use them. • There are enough closets, dressers, and cabinets to put your stuff away. • We also appreciated an extra half-bathroom (toilet + small sink). • Host Edina is attentive and quick to respond. • Great public transportation options, metro/tram/bus/trolleybus stop just around the corner, and the airport shuttle bus 100E stops about 50 m from the building. • There's a nice and reasonably priced parking garage behind the National Museum, about 5 min walking distance from the apartment. • Plenty of shops around, some open 24/7, as well as restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines. • Many tourist attractions and just nice places to visit are also easy to reach by foot or, if you don't feel like walking, public transport.

• The living room and connecting bedroom face a very busy street, and old wooden windows do a very poor job of stopping all the noise from coming in, so it's very loud at night with all the traffic and especially supernoisy scooters that seem to be very popular. • There was no door or curtain in the shower, so using it without splashing water all over the bathroom floor was a challenge. • The building that the apartment is in is old and shabby. I wouldn't even call it an issue, just something to be prepared for when you first arrive and not be put off by it :)

This place is like straight out of a 70s European film set! We were sceptic at first sight when we saw the front door of the building because it was old & looked run down but we loved everything once we passed that door. The courtyard, stairs and lift have their own characters. It was very easy to find the door key following the instructions. Staying in that apartment itself is an experience in the sense that you do not see that high window & door frame these days. Very modern inside with super comfy beds, and modern kitchen & bathroom. Grocery store Aldi is just opposite the street (closes at 8pm). Kalvin tar metro station is 5 minutes (max) walking distance away. Central market hall is 10 mins walk away. The famous Vaci street is also 10 mins walk away. You can go to the main squares simply by walking. Lots of take away & restaurants nearby. I strongly recommend this place to have a pure vintage European experience! Also, the host is very quick to respond :)

The homely feel to it? The fact it was like your own house. Felt very comfortable

Except for the minimal squeaking bed the rest were all super quality and value for money.

Flat was exactly as described and pictured, really convenient to have the two entirely separate bedrooms plus the sofabed in the kitchen/living area. The extra toilet was nice too. Location perfect. There was a fan in the flat, but no AC, so make sure you keep the shutters closed during heatwaves!

Would have been nice to have some basics in the flat, such as handwash on the sinks. Cleanliness was okay (bathrooms, bedding, towels were okay), although bedrooms were fairly dusty around and under the bed and floors a bit dirty.
