Danubius Grand Astoria Budapest

The place is very accessible to everything. Very good and comfortable place to stay. I recommend this place if you want a comfortable place with less budget.

Great location.

We were short on pillows, they refused to give us more. No baby cot. Was difficult with the small baby. He was rolling off the bed. Also not very clean. Floor was sticky. Would not recommend for family with kids.

The location is really good. It's a 2 minute walk from Astoria metro and 100E airport bus, stops at Astoria metro (2nd stop) Was close to all main areas. There were lots of restaurants close by. Apartment was clean and had everything you need. The complex was really quiet and pleasant.

Only small criticism, the toilet and 2nd bedroom had clear glass in doors, made us laugh but may not be to everyone's taste.

Location was fabulous, easy walking to everything. Great restaurants downstairs and very close to the metro. Although very run down the building is lovely. The apartment was very spacious, we had 5 people and there was plenty of room. Supermarket across the road. We had a great stay despite everything breaking. Owner is friendly and helpful.

It was a bit like Fawlty Towers. Almost every day something broke. The kitchen tap was broken when we arrived but the owner fixed within 24 hours. The shower hose broke and the owner fixed it, but it then broke again. We only could use it as a hand hose, as didn't fit in the wall mount. When we arrived it was taped to the wall with a Bandaid/plaster. This came off after a few showers. A pipe burst in the second toilet wash basin, it was fortunate we were home otherwise the entire apartment would've been flooded! We managed to stop the water but not until it had spread into three of the rooms. We spent over an hour trying to mop the water into buckets with our towels, as the mop was broken. We washed the towels (after a trip to Aldi to buy washing powder) and discovered the clothesline was broken. The basin in the second toilet lay resting on the floor for the rest of our stay (12 nights) The leg of the kitchen table is broken, as is one of the chair legs. The apartment is very dark - need to have lights on most of the time. There was renovations happening next door in the building and some days the jackhammer would start at 7.30 am - it was deafening in the apartment. The owner fixed things as quickly as they broke. I think he came 4 times to fix things. The plumber came once.

Location Location Location

Not properly cleaned on arrival. No dishwasher. Exposure limited to courtyard only. Very old amenities, with some in disrepair. But good value for the money in an exceptional location in Budapest.

The rooms are exactly as per picture and location wise I rate it 10/10 and experience with agent is 8/10 cleanliness 8/10 as it's an old property. Loved our stay and would like to book again. Best place in Budapest.
