Balzac Apartment

No coffee machine in the flat and the TV is not working at all (no signal/channel), the owner admitted it after my complaint, although announced as a facility! The owner did not tell me that I should not use the washing machine, because it is a total waste: left it for 2 hours and when checked on it the clothes were half-dry and half-wet without any signs of cleanliness, and when opened it the water that left in the machine spilled everywhere! When asking the owner I was told that he will check it the other day, but afterwards within 15 minutes told that the machine is out of service… I have the screenshot of our chat and the photo of the washing machine and the TV, everything is documented. The frying pan and the cooking pot are very dirty, messy! For the reasons above I would say that this was a very bad deal, far too expensive rental price considering the fact that the announced facilities/services are missing or defective!

good balance between price and quality, quite block of flats near city center and railway station, enough space for 1-2 people

the flat smelled of a musty mop, the lid from the toilet seat does not hold in open position which makes issues when using the toilette

All is well. We liked everything. Comfort, price-quality, location. Everything you need is nearby. Not far from the train station, metro station, Margit Island, tram stop and shopping center, not far from the Danube.

I liked everything

It's alright, the location is pretty good, the apartment is close to a bus stop, from which both buses can take you to the city center. It's also very close to a shopping center and a corner store. The bed was comfy :) Even with the flaws, I'd still recommend it for the location.

The water heater was so loud it actually woke us up a few times during the night. Whenever it made sounds l It also splashed a tiny bit of water. The toilet itself is actually a reverse flush toilet which we thought was a bit unhygienic. The bed was ridiculously squeaky and the nightstands weren't particularly stable. One of the stoves didn't work, not that it mattered much.

good value of money. good location. place is a bit more simple than on the pictures, but still it’s nice and has everything a traveller needs. it’s well heated in winter time. the apartment is very easy to find. you shouldn’t have any problem with self check in, the instructions are more than clear. management was fast to reply to all the questions

check out time is really early

The place was advertised as equipped with air conditioning. There is an old A/C that hardly produces any cool air. If there was a table fan in the room it would have provided more cooling effect than the wall-mounted AC.

nice and quiet. good location. AC made the heat wave bearable, but it was working at top capacity for a 'bearable' (but not much more) result.

Communications could have been much better. The place is managed by a company, not an individual. I was unable to respond to messages they sent me through the Booking.com site, ended up using WhatsApp. They did not answer the phone on a Sunday and when I had trouble with the Wifi, I had to find a cafe to inform them about it, which did not happen til the next day. Luckily I had a friend with me, otherwise I would never have figured out the 4 different keys and 3 locks and would still have been standing there - unable to phone because no one would answer.
