Budapest Art Nouveau Apartment

The position was great - quiet, but also in the centre of Pest. Easy Uber, bus, tram, and walk everywhere! The beds were really comfortable. The shower was great after a hard day’s walking and sightseeing!

The shower leaked and we had to mop up everyday which made the flat smell damp after a few days! The TV didn’t work. The lock was tricky so had to call the owner and wait an hour to leave the room as the key was stuck in the door - either it needs to be explained how to “wiggle” the key or a new lock needs to be fitted.

The property is in the Pest side, very close to Parliament building. It is easy to commute within city as nearest metro/bus/tra, stop is Kossuth Lejos Ter, which is barely 3 minutes walk from the property. Danube river bank is within walking distance so one can chill after a long day at the promenade. There are quite a few restaurants nearby. Grocery stores like Aldi and Spar is also located nearby. The room was spacious with amenities like refrigerator, microwave, basic utensils etc. The room decor gives a grand vintage type feeling.

The wifi was not strong enough. Had issues in whatsapp audio calls as network strength was poor. The room with balcony does not have access to elevator. It is difficult to carry luggages through stairs (96 small staircases in this building, exlcuding the staircases in the main entrance).

The property smelled of mould. We had to leave the next day as both of us couldn’t handle the smell. The bathroom basin couldn’t drain, so we did not even took a chance to shower. We were promised a full refund and only got half of it.

Excellent location and beautiful building. The host was friendly and responsive. The apartment was larger than expected and had everything one may need.

WiFi was weak and unstable. The sound insulation is poor, so you can hear guests next door and neighbours upstairs very clearly.

The apartment was beautiful, very well fitted and in a great location. Check-in was very easy and the hosts were easy to get hold off via WhatsApp if needed.

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the apartment we were given did not have a balcony even though it was advertised as having one.

Beautiful, well equipped apartment. Loads of room. No noise from the street. Situated very near everything. 2 minute walk to tram and metro. Less than a 10 minute walk to Danube. Handy, Aldi is just on the corner for essentials. Host exceptional, answered queries immediately. Felt very safe throughout our visit. People in the building are very friendly. Magnificent city. The helpful video sent to me by the host to assist with entry into the apartment was a great help. Near restaurants and pubs, there is so much variety of foods to choose from.

Wouldn't be a fan of all the knick knacks in the apartment, but that is a personal and very minor thing.

The location was excellent with an aldi just 20 metres away

that there was no lift available.
