Penthouse in the castle

Really spacious and comfortable apartment. So much space for two of us, so would house four very comfortably. Impeccably clean, towels & toilet roll was provided. It’s situated right near to a Metro stop, and there’s a co-op conveniently next door as well. Communication with the owners was superb. They were always on hand to answer any questions, and sent great videos so we knew exactly where to go, and some great suggestions on what to do in Budapest. Highly recommend & we’d definitely stay here again 😀

This is more of a suggestion than a dislike, but another sofa in the lounge area would be good.

Great communication from the owner who provided timely details about the property which is HUGE, with lovely artwork and modern design, and was very quiet. I have stayed more centrally in Budapest, but the location was absolutely ideal for my purposes being in walking distance to MVM dome. The metro stop for line 3 is literally just outside which takes you directly and quickly into the centre, and the tram line 2M is a two minute walk away which takes you along the Danube to the centre. Line 3 is undergoing renovation at the time of writing (and has been for quite some time) but the replacement bus service is also just outside and equally efficient. This property is highly recommended.

The apartment is amazing with great style even with comfortable beds, large bathrooms and stylish functional kitchen with all amenities. Our host is an amazing person where he is happy to inform about every detail. We spent three days in beautiful Budapest with my family and we want to visit again. Thank you very much for everything.!!

Surface, location

Noise from the street, no shades in the big room so too much light in early morning. Bed was squeaking badly.

Carving/bread knives needed in the kitchen plus a larger coffee maker and a toaster would have been welcome Bedside tables would also be a good addition.

The apartment is unique and enormous, located in a beautiful old building. Two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms make it ideal for two couples, while large kitchen allows for comfortable meals. Paintings and decoration give a nice atmosphere. Good location near to metro and trams, nice view from windows. Parking on the street was sometimes possible, but we found a low priced parking lot within 20 minutes walk. Parking is easy with the PARKL app. Public transport is free for 65+

The entrance, stairs and balconies leading to the apartment are in need of renovation. There is a lift, but very old and in rather poor condition. The apartment requires some improvements and repairs: squeaky bed, no nighttables, bedlamp or electric socket next to bed. Top shower head needs repair (second shower head does work). A maize of central heating pipes in the bathroom should be covered, rather than have a flower pot placed in from of it. Host provided all necessary information, but requires the use of whatsapp, which may not be convenient for everyone.
