Gold Apartman

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment! Everything was perfect—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and in an unbeatable location right in the heart of the city. It was so convenient to explore Budapest from such a central spot. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating; she went above and beyond by allowing us a late check-out so we could stay comfortably until our evening flight. We are truly grateful for her generosity and care. The entire experience was exceptional, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Brilliant wee apartment in the centre of Budapest. Clean, comfy. I would definitely book again whenever I'm back here. 10 outta 10

The apartment is in a handy location but our 2-night stay was made uncomfortable by the stifling hot room. I had noticed in reviews from earlier years that the air con was broken and this is still a major issue. The air conditioner only works as a fan - even on the coolest setting it blows only warm air, making the room very uncomfortable. We come from Australia and know how air conditioners work and this needs to be repaired! We slept with the door open but there is no draft as the balcony is low and surrounded by buildings close around. The constant loud cracking from a neighbour’s broken aircon kept us awake for hours. A second standing fan didn’t help cool the room.

If you stayed in winter or cooler months this apartment would be ok for a couple with 1-2 kids (up a ladder-type stairway, so they need to be old enough to manage this). The bed is the main feature of the room and there is a small pull-out table which would seat 2 by the TV. Noise from other apartments in the block could be heard at night but this is perhaps to be expected in a busy area close to restaurants etc. We loved the city of Budapest, but the accom was disappointing overall. When the cooling issue is fixed this could be a more enjoyable stay for a couple or small family.
