Orchardgrove apartment

We enjoyed making our own breakfast with the foods provided. The patio and BBQ were available also.The furnishings and beds were comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms was nice and we enjoyed the rural setting with beautiful flowers.

The shower wasn't totally enclosed and water splashed out on the shower rug.

The apartment was fully stocked and our fabulous hosts provided eggs from their chickens, wine, and items to make an easy breakfast. They were available for any need that came up and the stay was everything we could hope for as a family of four.

We were sad to leave and wish we'd extended our stay!

I can't think of anything

Mairead was very welcoming & we loved the wine, tea/coffee, bread/butter milk & fresh eggs from her hen that she welcomed us with. Thanks Mairead! It was also very handy to have 2 separate showers for our group & the location was great for exploring. The patio furniture was great as was all the decoration in the house.

Only a couple of small niggles; the shower room for the twin bedroom was rather small & the sink was very compact so it was hard to find a spot to put our toilet bags. Perhaps a shelf or more hooks could be added? The other thing was the rather noisy main road (apparently with a 100km speed limit) that we seemed to be far from but in fact could hear rather too much for such a peaceful idyllic setting.

We stayed in the apartment attached to the B&B. As others have noted, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and perfect for us (family of 3). The kitchen had some basics left for us (fresh bread, milk, juice, coffee, tea, snacks and eggs from their own hens). There were also plenty of other basics in the cupboards for anyone wanting to cook. Showers were excellent - just want we needed after a long day's walking - and the beds were very comfortable. There is a nice enclosed patio attached to the apartment - nice if the weather is good! Mairead and Tony went above and beyond - from leaving food / wine for us, giving us suggestions for eating out in the local area and also for giving us a lift (a considerable distance), so we could walk a section of the Barrow Way. Highly recommended, and would definitely stay again if / when we are back this direction.

The main road close by is a bit noisy during the day, but very quiet at night, so did not affect us sleeping at all. Apart from that, everything else was perfect.

Beautiful setting just right for the wedding nearby, to which we were guests.
