The Old Rectory Donard

We were warmly greeted by Martin. Had such a beautiful, relaxing 2 night stay. Apartment was fab. Very clean & modern. Stunning garden & surroundings. We loved it. Thank you! Bernadette, Michael & Marley

Owner was very nice and welcoming, the place was clean and tidy, fully equipped kitchen and fireplace in the leaving room, very peaceful surroundings, highly recommended

The hosts were fantastic and the grounds beautiful. Comfortable bed, good towels and well appointed kitchen for several days of self-catering. A great location for walks and enjoying birdsong. We liked the outdoor patio in the sunshine and a cosy wood fire in the evening.

The grounds and different chioces of accommodation options were really good. The host was very friendly and helpful. We loved the apartment we stayed in. The bed was really comfortable. The bed linen and towels were fresh and clean. the apartment in general was clean and very tidy. wood was provided so we could have the fire on and a lovely home grown little bunch of flowers were waiting on the table for us. we would definitely recommend staying here if your down to earth and can appreciate the lovely environment 😊

Some areas of the floor has some missed dog hair and the shower tray had a lot of dog hair in it...im a pet owner so i just got on and wiped it away. other people may of made a fuss. I didn't take any negative photos as we loved the quirkiness of the accommodation.

Quiet, secluded location, convenient for a drive to the beautiful Glendalough. Lovely garden to walk around with the dog. Cosy, well-heated (if you wanted the heating on) and private lodge.

It would have more welcoming if the kitchen had offered tea, coffee, some fresh milk, kitchen roll, maybe even a small packet of biscuits (or did I miss these?).

I came with my two dogs and we had a wonderful stay. The welcome was so warm, the accommodation was superb and very comfortable. We felt really good there, like at home. The setting is very pretty, very well maintained, and peaceful. I recommend it 100%.
