The Old Rectory Donard

Beautiful gardens and spacious property for a couple. Hosts are lovely & gave a useful overview of things to do in the area with personal recommendations for dog friendly activities. This was a great help & allowed us to explore from day 1. Bathroom a good size, with loo roll and shower gel provided…and the shower is massive!! Bedroom had plenty of space for suitcase, as well as a closet for extra storage if required. Kitchen well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, cooking utensils & dishes, with plenty of room to prepare meals.

Not that we should complain about an unexpected heatwave, but no fans in property to cool. Some cobwebs need cleared, especially in bathroom & shower.

The cottage is beautiful and Harriet is a lovely host and made us feel so welcome! The surrounding garden is a delight and it is a tranquil oasis to kick back and relax. If you are looking to get away from the city for some quality time look no further, this place is a gem!

Fantastic retreat in the garden of Ireland. Such a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. We had the ladybird cabin and squirrel loft - both really well kept and comfortable. The kids loved seeing the chickens and the cats. It was such a lovely tranquil atmosphere and a great location for exploring Wicklow. Perfect for a family or friend get together.

This was a lovely little home to stay in & very clean. Martin was very welcoming. We had our dog with us & she got to play with Martins dog. It was a lovely stay in a lovely quaint cottage. There was even some homemade cake with a note to welcome us. There's lovely pubs & cafes nearby with really nice food. We would definitely go back.

Very quaint property. The breakfast we had was very good. We liked the spaciousness of our villa. Martin was a very nice host.

There was not a shower in the master bathroom. And the handheld wand hooked up to the bathtub did not have hardly any water pressure. So showers were not pleasant. And there were no washcloths in the bathrooms. We were also disappointed we did not get breakfast for both days of our stay. We only got breakfast one day.

It was very clean and tidy, the property itself including the gardens are very beautiful and scenic. The owners were very friendly and on hand to assist with any queries if required. I was very happy with my stay.

Nothing at all, I actually couldn’t fault it.
