Santorini Paradise Cave Houses

Amazing location on Santorini - as advertised, a perfect window into an iconic view. We had only 1 day on the island and wanted to maximize our time without fighting the crowds, and have a chance to relax. The Helios home enabled us to do all that and more. We were delighted by the cave interior, the cute "secret" little room and little hobbit hole / door to access as well as by how much space we had in the loft and main bed space. The pocket window facing the sea was charming, and we really felt special to be going into the house with the blue door which many tourists were taking pictures of in front. The highlight, the balcony at the top afforded a glorious panoramic view. I took the complimentary rose wine (fridge had nice basics of food in there) and went up for a peek and didn't leave again for 2 hours until the last of the sun disappeared. We spent a bit of time looking at the various views all through the island, and found ourselves very happy and satisfied with the Helios view. Maria the host arrived as the sun was setting and we had a very nice chat - she was kind enough to bring snacks (delicious local fruit, etc.) and was very helpful throughout including warning us of when the boats were cancelled and giving us recommendations throughout. Note, the home is on a relatively steep part of the hill (while it is steep, it is short, just 5-10 min walk), but the porter they send to pick you up, carry the luggage, and give the keys was amazing in navigating the streets quickly and made it easy for check-in. Overall Bravo! for a beautiful experience - we'd love to come stay again one day soon!

A little disrepair on the guard ropes on the roof balcony which might pose a risk to kids... was noted by host, and I'm sure repaired by now.

Staying in a cave-like room was a fascinating experience, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the design and comfort of the space. The hotel also had a stunning rooftop terrace, which provided panoramic views of the caldera and the surrounding landscape. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the island. Room stayed : Helios Right there on cliff , just below Venitian castle of oia. Beautiful views, balcony is small but there is a guest only roof top with amazing view. Amenities are good, provided with breakfast and toiletries. Nice bedding, beautifully maintained cave house. View from windows /door is great. Helpful staff , prompt response and good wifi.

Good view and authentic cave home stay at Oia.

Wifi was not working and Jacuzzi is at 3mins walking from the stay which was only problem but Maria gave keys of sunset villa as well which helped us for showers and washroom.
