Breakfast was excellent. The view and location were excellent

The traffic noise was quite high

Beautiful view from the room and balcony, comfortable bed with a good mosquito net (surprisingly lacking in other places we stayed!) and decent aircon. Kind and helpful staff and a fantastic evening meal one night provided free of charge. Great value.

As with many properties in Ella it is located on the busy main road - it felt a bit hairy sometimes walking back to the property at night. It was surprisingly quiet however in the room, so they’ve clearly done a good job of insulating the property!

The view was amazing and really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Location is close to Ella restaurants and bars.

The accommodation has really good reviews which is why we booked it. However it didn’t meet our expectations which is a shame and misleading to others. The owner offered us a 40% discount to rectify this but I believe they should get it right the first time or reduce the price to reflect the service. - There’s no obvious reception and we had a bit of a random greeting by the owner’s son (he’s lovely but customer service could be better) - Our bedding and towels didn’t smell like they had been washed which made us both feel uncomfortable. Also only given one towel each and soap in the bathroom hadn’t been topped up. Our room wasn’t clean during our stay. - The road is noisy (as other reviews state) however during our stay we were woken up by someone banging around on the roof. My partner felt like someone was about to break in. On our final day there was more banging on the roof. All of these issues contributed to an ok stay and we were quite pleased to move on. We appreciated the discount but believe it’s important to get it right the first time.

Best view I can remember from a hotel room. Nice Sri Lankan breakfast on deck watching monkeys put on acrobatic high wire show. Short walk to Main Street. Tiny little eatery just up street does great chicken curry etc if don’t want to dine in hectic Main Street area

Hotel close to road so get a fair bit of traffic noise, but didn’t bother us.

Notre séjour était trop court

Huone oli paras, mikä meillä on ollut Sri Lankassa. Upeat maisemat parvekkeelta, siisti huone, toimiva ilmastointi ja todella mukava sänky. Plussaa siitä, että oli oikea peitto, eikä vain lakana. Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja aamupala tuotiin meille omaan huoneeseen, vielä siihen kellonaikaan kun toivoimme! Kaikki oli täydellistä.
