Central city 1 bed apartment

Breakfast was so poor.

The bathroom and kitchen are fine, but the bed is extremely uncomfortable, the incredible noise from the street during the whole night makes it impossible to sleep there. And breakfast was a bad joke, two eggs in the fridge for three days. You're fu©king kidding me.

Location is fab, ten minutes walk from centre. Quirky decor and cosy.

It’s a bit shabby (gaffer tape on floor, lightbulbs missing in overhead lights and even in one of the lounge lamps, bedroom blind doesn’t open) and could do with a quick refresh and proper clean (mug rings on table and really dirty oven fan). Croissants were out of date, only one jam provided and no tea bags for complimentary breakfast. Such relatively small things so didn’t ruin our stay but would stop us from returning or recommending.

Lockbox was easy to find and to open. It was lovely to have a selection of food for breakfast included. The owners were really prompt at answering messages and very helpful. If the weather had been better we could have walked into town. Supermarket was only a short walk away (but don't get heavy bags as 2 flights of stairs!).

The sofa bed really needs some sort of topper as it wasn't too comfy! But, great to have that option. We also would have appreciated some washing up liquid and tea towels so we could clean up properly after ourselves.

very cosy and well equipped

I was unaware it was on the top floor as I expected it to be on the ground floor as advertised.

the location was good, a short pleasant walk from the city centre. the shower was good.

the sofa bed didn’t work, the slide out bit kept falling off and it wouldn’t stay up in the locked position. there was no hairdryer. the apartment wasn’t super clean. the sash window cord was broken - which is a health and safety hazard so you couldn’t open the window. the hob top wouldn’t work. unsure whether the pans are correct for induction. perhaps instruction would be helpful. the internet wouldn’t work. the hallway was strewn with recycling bags, which again, is probably a health and safety issue.
