Property was clean

4pm check in when I requested 3pm. When we finally got into building key lock box is attached to a utility pipe possibly gas pipe, there were 2 lock boxes so we didn't know which was ours, a rep talked us through the check-in but it wasn't easy as it was difficult to access the lock box in the location of a a utility cupboard on the landing. Decor of the apartment was very dated, the apartment was clean but didn't feel fresh due to the dark dated decor. we really couldn't understand how this apartment was rated 9.7 on Booking.com, we would give it a rating of around 6

Das Beziehen der Wohnung war schwierig. Der Schlüssel funktionierte nicht, Nachbesserung sehr spät möglich. Nicht verlässliche Angaben.....Man musste viel Energie und Zeit aufbringen um Probleme zu klären...

The location is practical near train and bus station, there is a good shopping mall nearby.

We spent the Christmas holidays in the apartment. It was cold inside during the winter. At night, it was very noisy due to traffic. My inquiries via Booking.com's messaging function went unanswered. The shower water wasn't hot enough, and the duvets and pillows had a slightly unpleasant odor. All facilities were a bit outdated. The accommodation is fine for one or two nights, but not for a longer stay. For this price, it would be better to choose a hotel with breakfast in another part of the Algarve.

The location is great. The property is spacious.

The shower water is warmish at best. We contacted the company several times to ask for it to be looked at. They sent someone twice to clear the drainage and assured us they were qualified to look at the boiler but the technician confirmed they weren’t. Then they stopped replying. So we left it. The bed slats were broken but my husband could cobble it together. The kitchen utensils need an update - knives were blunt etc. The pillows have seen better days. The lounge door gets stuck and it is difficult to open which is stressful at times. There is a bottle bank outside the bedroom which gets emptied every 2 days at 3am. I was shocked at the high score after staying here.
