Location was perfect,just in the centre of oldtown and looking to a historical round tower from 16th century.Frederic was very friendly and helpful.It was a comfortable house full of art. The house is looking to the historical tower from 16 th century.You feel like you are travelling to the past. The ceiling on the bed is very low so you should be very careful while going to the bed. There are lots of restaurants and cafes around.

Exceptional Host agreed to let us in early with our bags. The apartment was beautifully decorated with pieces of art from the host's collection. Perfect location for exploring the old section of Lyon and Lyon itself. Very quiet at night. Very easy to reach from the subway station, even the suitcases survived the cobblestone streets.

The beams above the main bed in the mezzanine level were very low, I only managed to hit my head once :). Not really an issue but it's the only thing I can think of. The rest was perfect.

Very nice location, amazing ancient building and a amazing host that makes you feel welcome even for one night. Full of Art. A unique place that you will remember.

Our Appartement had a mezzanine with the main double bed, and a couch on the ground floor. For the master bed : Both the stairs and the very low ceiling made a trip to the bathroom a nighttime adventure. With the occasional head bump. Not recommended for everyone.

Very smooth and efficient. Frederic met us and provided maps and suggestions for our visit.

During our short stay the weather plummeted to -2 and the old system of storage heaters struggled to maintain comfortable heat. Picture quality of the television prohibitive - not living up to the task of providing a cosy, relaxing experience. WiFi - was free but connectivity issues and generally unstable.

The proprietor Frederic was friendly and helpful. The space assigned to us (1565) was unique. The accommodation was in a great location.

We were charged even more on the spot to check in. The 1565 space assigned to us: 1) was represented in only one of the 18 advertised pictures, 2) was a three-flight walk-up, 3) had a(nother) walk-up bed/sleeping area with about 1.5 meter head room (most people could not stand up in it) and would need to duck under a large structural beam to access it, 4) needed much more cleaning (even though it was promised to be), 5) needs greater attention to detail (e.g. the set-up to just make tea was lacking, disorganized, and not clean), 6) did not have free WiFi, and 7) had a TV which did not work.

We can’t rate Frederic’s apartment and hospitality more highly. He kindly gave us the larger room so that we could add an extra person to our trip, meaning we stayed in the mezzanine room. The upstairs bed and sofa bed were very comfy and had all the things we needed, plus being amazingly decorated. The location was incredible for a few days stay in Lyon, other tourists came to view the tower in the court yard and we saw it every day. Frederic was a huge help from start to finish, giving us itinerary and restaurant recommendations. You just need to be okay with stairs.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It was filled with so many interesting pieces of art that even after three days I was noticing something I hadn’t spotted before. Set in a beautiful historic building in the old town, it was ideal for a short break to Lyon.
