Comfy Stay Kiyokawa

I liked that there were cutlery and pans to cook, it helped us to prepare our breakfast. I liked that the whole apartment was clean.

The extra bed was only a only a small mattress.

Good bed. Washing machine. Plenty towels. Near Shin Omya train station. Good shower.

The top sheet on the bed was too small. Needs English instructions for the washing machine. The restaurant below can be a bit noisy at night.

The airconditioning worked fine. This device is indispensable, because the building heats up incredibly on sunny days in summer. The window frames become very hot. The bathroom and the shower were fine.

Blankets etc. could have been a bit cleaner. The photos on the web page do not accurately depict what room you actually get in the end in our opinion. A toaster or a similiar device would add positively to the available appliances.

Great to have whole apartment. Loved being able to do laundry. Grateful for kitchen, full refrigerator. Location was great for my purposes.

This was a great place to have to myself for my time in Nara. That said, it was one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. I switched to sleeping on the futon (found in the closet) because my back ached so badly. Hot water also was very fidgety in the shower - yes I turned it on, and even turned it up, but it never came out all that consistently/warmly. It is early summer,, so it was alright, but I don't know if I'd stay here in winter. Also, it would have been really helpful to have a clothes drying rack. I made do with the hangers in the closet, however.
