Bootham Urban Space

Lovely modern apartment, and it was very quiet. Had no trouble finding it, and private parking was a bonus. Just a 2 minute walk, and you're in the town. Close to all the main sites we wanted to visit.

The mattresses on the beds could do with replacing. The dishwasher was mouldy and didn't work well. Windows are hard to open, and it was very warm in the apartment, but fans were provided. Just little things, but on a whole, it was a lovely apartment.

It was absolutely perfect. Location was brilliant. Couldn’t ask for a more ideal property for our stay.

There was only parking for 1 car. The other car had to be parked down the street in a carpark for an additional £40 for 2 days. The property sleeps potentially 2 couples therefore may have 2 cars.

Location and private parking

Very comfortable flat. Clean, warm, good location. 2 shower rooms (and thus 2 toilets) was a bonus. The beds were extremely comfortable. Location was superb - 3 minute walk to the Minster. Sainsbury's local less than a minute away. A welcome pack of a few tea and coffee bags, some sachets of milk and some biscuits, was great to get you started. We got the keys from a key safe, so didn't need to worry about being caught in traffic and being late for our arrival. We didn't cook or use the washing machine, so I can't comment on them.

There was no 'active' extractor for the bathrooms, although there was a fresh air vent in the ceiling. This meant that the steam, from the shower, did not dissipate but went into the bedroom or the hallway. The window in the bedroom was difficult to open, so the steam condensed in the room. The dishwasher was very smelly and we washed up by hand.

Location was just what we needed close walk into the city no need for the car

Seating was ok for the three of us but a fourth person would have been on an uncomfortable chair all of the time. If it’s a four person facility make sure four people can sit comfortably. The noise from the lift if you are in the second bedroom will wake up light sleepers

It did have a few dirty spots like on of the pillows on the smaller room had blood on it. Also very hot and windows were hard to open to get any fresh air
