Period two-bed house, next to river and city

Lovely property in a great location.

Lovely area to stay in. Very helpful owners. Clean and comfortable.

Oven was very gross and not clean enough to cook in.

Lovely little house ideal for visiting York centre. Was a 20 minute walk into the centre along the main road, may have been quicker along the river but the path was flooded! Only £5 in an Uber. House was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Bed in the main bedroom is huge! Lovely selection of books and games too. Would definitely stay again.

The only bad thing about the stay is that the milk sachets provided were out of date.

The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable

The decor and ambience created. The quality of the fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms. The high quality central heating system and kitchen alliances. Also I appreciate that cutlery and crockery were available. And that basics such as tea and coffee were included.

Amazing stunning layout

Great location, loved the decor, just a great place to spend time relaxing with friends

The location was fine, near the bus stop for travelling into York and even walking distance for younger people.

It was very cold in the house on arrival on a December evening. The thermostat only registered 12 degrees. We did think the house could have been warmed for our expected arrival. Also, to our alarm there was not a hand rail for the stairs. We are in our seventies and we had to be extremely careful, especially carrying a suitcase up and down. We would have thought for health and safety a hand rail was obligatory. Lastly we would have liked a non slip rubber mat for the shower. Otherwise everything else was fine.
