Stodham Studio - one bed near York Minster

The location was very good and the fact that there was parking outside the property. Also although we didn't use it there is a small courtyard for use in good weather.

I really wanted to like the studio more but there were lots of annoying niggles. The door to the living space didn't shut. The shower was extremely temperamental and I had to read the instructions to see what was wrong.. The fan in the bathroom was also very dirty and the shower was extremely small. Finally the towels seemed very worn. I am sure with a bit more attention to detail all these things can be sorted quickly.

Location was excellent- only 5 min walk to York Minster as well as central York and plenty of eateries and supermarkets nearby. Added bonus was there was a private parking space for 1 car which was so important to us having driven there and very easy to get to as we used satnav for the Monk Gate car park. This fabulous little studio was ideal for the 2 of us- every little thing thought about (hairdryer, iron & ironing board etc) despite the studio being compact but it had everything that a larger apartment would have apart from a washing machine which may be important for some people but didn't bother us. Great communication from Jayne and Michelle who sent the keycode and other information before we arrived. If we return to York in the future we will most certainly return to Stodham Studio and will not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

We were there for 4 nights but only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel given; personally we would have appreciated another set of towels. Also we prefer bath sheets as opposed to bath towels. We found the mattress a bit soft - again personal preference as we have a firm mattress at home. Neither of the above points would put us off returning to the studio.

Location, good facilities, nicely furnished throughout and the shower was hot and powerful.

No towel rail in the bathroom and only 1 hand towel was provided for 2 people.

What a gem of a place to stay, just around the corner from all the amenities, it was spotlessly clean, every think you could ask for in an apartment, would highly recommend and michelle was brilliant when I got in touch with her and it was our anniversary and they left a lovely gift for us aswell thank you so much we would glady return again well done ladies, one more thing free parking aswell xx

Lovely and clean property in the heart of York. Brilliant location for walking around the city and plenty of good options nearby for eating or drinking. Highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment. Very clean. Bed and sofa comfy. Décor was lovely. Little court yard was a bonus. Bathroom nice and modern. Bedding quality. Near to Monks bar. Good access to city facilities.

Car park used after 10pm and before 6am. We were told it backed onto car park. It was very warm whilst we were there and i had to shut window at night as road was noisy next to main roads. Traffic ok with window shut. Fan is provided. Otherwise id give you 10 no option for 9.5 sorry girls.
