Moatside Gate

Lovely house, great location to explore York. Has everything you need. Great stay wouls definitely cone back.

A lovely cottage in a private courtyard. Nicely decorated & well maintained. Plenty of space for small groups. It's very close to York Minster & other attractions.

Perfect location for visiting York. Literally a short walk away from the city. The cottage is a little hidden gem. Will definitely be staying here again

it was beautiful tastefully decorated/furnished. contained everything you could want. very comfortable.

Nothing to dislike

Cozy modern interior well equipped kitchen easy short walk to centre of York great for our elderly parents -Private parking - well secure with electronic gate if you were taking a pet - Tesco Express round corner for milk etc

Street lamp outside the bedroom made it hard to sleep - window blinds didn't block light out so didn't sleep very well but overall I would definitely stay again but get a sleep mask would have been nice if there was 4 patio chairs for all of us to sit outside - bed far too soft but all this is personal preference and definitely wouldn't stop us staying again

Location was ideal for us - close to everything but also to local amenities. Secure parking, dog friendly and a lovely house. Stay York close by when there was a blown fuse - speedy and friendly response

Excellent location for visiting the whole of York. The cottage itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for our week's stay. The photos don't do it justice as it has lovely artwork and large ornaments which add to the quirky cottage feel. The courtyard garden was great too as we had 2 dogs with us. The 2 bedrooms were beautifully decorated in pastel colours and the whole place spotlessly clean. Would love to book Moatside Gate again in the future!

Black out blinds at the bedroom windows. There was a street light just outside the bedroom window. No coffee percolator for the ground coffee that was left in the Welcome Box!
