Laich Cottage

Beautiful little cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Loved waking up in the morning to the sound of the birds and sheep. So peaceful. Loved the wood burning stove. The hot tub looked fab too, but we didn't use it.

This cottage was exceptional in character and quality. Location was perfect for the mountains and the lochs. We were also really well situated for the Oban ferry to the Isle of Mull, where we visited the Belamory village, visited the whisky distillery and went to Calgarry beach. A perfect location if you want peace, tranquility and the most beautiful scenery.

Not very welcoming when there are signs everywhere telling you what time to be out for, that you will be charged extra if you do x, y and z, that you are expected to strip all the beds and clean appliances, etc before leaving with everything looking as if you’d never been there, that as you are given free WiFi you should leave a positive review and that as they are letting you use the hot tub for free you are not allowed to complain if it isn’t working. I’ve stayed in lots of self catering but have never felt as unwelcome. Cleanliness could be improved but perhaps it’s because the previous occupants didn’t vacuum before they left…

This cottage was absolutely perfect! We didn't use the hot tub, but it looked lovely. It was warm and cozy, had everything we would need. Very clean and tidy. Wood provided for the stove was just wonderful. Would book again, absolutely!! Pierhouse restaurant is close by and utterly stunning. Plus castle Arghhhhhhh!
