A truly magical experience at case gallina, with a private parking, a nice little garden with palm trees, deck chairs and a table with chairs right outside your door to take in the beautiful sea view! The house had 2 TVs; one in living room, other in bedroom. The kitchen had a window right above the sink which was mesmerizing to cook and watch the sea and the sound of chirping birds! Although it was March and the sea was still a bit chilly, we still managed to spend all our days by the beach swimming, and we had the beach all to ourselves! The beach is like an enclosed little private one for the villas that live around it. There aren't any shops nearby however it is only a 5 minute drive to an area that has 5 supermarkets all in one place! Some of the previous reviews mentioned how it was hard to find the house and the road was a bit tricky. however we seemed to find the place quite easily and the road wasn't bad at all! A tip is to look out for a big white sign labelled: "Paradiso del Mare" and that is where you should turn into. All in all it was such a nice experience, we liked it so much that we had booked another stay while we were still there! See you in September :)

Right on the sea, with gorgeous views, from the apartment's private terrace and especially from the large sunny furnished roof terrace. Yards from a proper sandy beach. An enclosed garden which was ideal for our little dog. Comfortable, warm, well equipped apartment, with good WiFi (a bonus as not advertised) and use of a washing machine. Ideal for two people. Secure on- site parking for the car. There are only two apartments (semi-detached). The other one, with patio doors onto its terrace, gets more sun so is possibly even better.

Gallina village / resort has a great beach but no facilities (no shop, no cafe or restaurant in walking distance) though I believe there is a campsite cafe/restaurant in season. So you must drive several miles to Avola if you need anything. However there is a really nice beach bar / restaurant at Fontane Bianche which is open for lunch all year round.

Great location near beach/sea. Lovely sunny apartment with style. Near two nature reserves, for hiking. Good wifi.

Road exit to main road a bit dingy. At our stay (feb 2023) construction of other villa at close distance, so some noise from that.

The location of the villa next to the beach in an elevated position is excellent. The views are great. There are supermarkets close by near to the small town of Avola. Siracusa and Ortiga are very close. They provide a rich opportunity to explore ancient Greek and Roman antiquity, as well as to enjoy a historical port and Sicilian hospitality.

Locating the villa was difficult at first. Driving to it is not for the faint hearted. The lanes are very narrow and steep sided with stone walls etc. You need to be confident at reversing, because there are no passing places. I would hire a smaller car. I managed easily enough in a Fiat Tipo.
