Perdiana House

This is a very nice place to stay. very spacious with big bathroom, nice kitchen area and the bedrooms were very nice with comfortable beds. balcony was a cute place for a drink. The owners were very nice and attentive. answered all our questions and helped get a restaurant reservation. One of the best things- it is very near the funicular which is free and takes you down to town. Very convenient!!!

The parking situation in Genoa is terrible. we got a parking ticket in an area we thought we could park in. streets are very narrow and windy. very hard to drive there- I suggest no car.

It's a real gem in Genoa! A very spacious apartment with everything you need. There is a very well equipped kitchen and huge bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. Very hospitable owners who met us and showed us around even though we came after 10 pm. The location is slightly outside of the city center and on the hill, but let it not deter you. You take a private lift (!) and free funicular and in 10-15 min you are in the beginning of via Garibaldi. Shops, a restaurant, a bakery, etc are also just a ride on the lift away. I fully recommend the apartment and would come again if I could.

Not a disadvantage of the apartment, but a couple of things to note. You have to climb quite a few steps inside the building before you get to the lift (other than the one mentioned above) that gets you to the apartment. Also, I could not find any green area around to walk the dog (not a big problem since we were there for just one day).
