The location is very good, in a pedestrian street but vey quiet at night. There is free parking within walking distance.

Nothing to dislike.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. On the first floor so there’s stairs. They are not too steep.

Need to tell anyone driving there like a taxi driver where to drop off your stuff so you don’t have to walk down the whole way.

We arrived by car, are in our early 70s and are self-catering. Our first impression was that the apartment was dark but once we opened the shutters and let the outside in, things changed. Later the subtle lighting turned it into a cosy space with a comfortable lounge. The kitchen and bathroom are very modern and have everything we needed to cook meals and there is reverse cycle aircon in the bedroom and the lounge. The sofa and bed are very comfortable. Everything in town is within walking distance, although we drove to the fort and the aqueduct. We were a bit nervous about parking but it was not an issue as there was a large, well-used free car park about 250 metres from the apartment.

It has to be said that although it is a fair trot from the car park to the apartment it is fairly easy to walk your luggage through the pedestrianised area which is smoothly paved. However there are 11 quite steep steps up to the apartment. We have alerted the host that the fridge needs some attention as the door of the freezer compartment is broken and falls off when the fridge is opened. As with every older property we have stayed at in Portugal there is an all pervading unpleasant odour which is not necessarily the fault of the host or the cleaning. We had bought an air freshener spray after our first night in Porto and we used it here in Elvas. Because we were self catering we had luggage and food to take to the apartment so we had to sort out what clothes and food we needed for the two days and leave the rest in the boot of the car. Amalgamating it made it easier to get from the car park to the apartment.

Great location, easy access ,very clean and nicely decorated.

Steep staircase , weak to no wifi in bedroom and depending on neighbors, it can be noisy. Our neurons upstairs would come in about 4:00 a. M. And we could hear every footstep and flush of the toilet.
