The apartment is very close to nature, just a five minutes walk and you're away from light pollution and can see the stars, look for auroras...it was the first time we could walk on a frozen lake (very close to the apartment)! It is cosy, clean, well-equipped and warm. Petteri is a very kind host, very responsive and extremely helpful. We also enjoyed some of the activities he offers such as lappish dinner (he was so kind to adapt it to our specific diets) and he booked us a tour with dogs. There is also a swimming pool with sauna about 5 minutes walk away and it only costs 3€ (check website for opening hours).

That we missed the first snow and could not stay any longer!

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable stay here. Our host, Mr. Petteri, was exceptional and went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. He took care of all the little details, which brought our stay to life. He even helped us chase the northern lights and captured an incredible photo that we’ll cherish forever. We saw aurora on all the nights of our stay, lucky for us that the sky were clear. Petteri arranged amazing experiences for us, from a husky ride to a farm visit, and provided great recommendations that helped us make the most of our time. There’s a small lake just 100 meters from the apartment, and he even checked the ice conditions so we could safely walk on it. Petteri also offers various activities, including snowmobiling, but there wasn't enough snow during our stay. We also got to enjoy a traditional Finnish dinner with a delicious three-course meal for price, inside a cabin/fire place just outside of the apartment. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend – this is a stay you’ll remember!

The host, Petteri, is the most thoughtful host I've met so far. We requested a pick up from him and he was mindful enough to check the timings and arrive earlier as we landed earlier. He gave us a short trip around Ivalo giving us important information such as supermarkets etc. The apartment has almost everything one might need for a comfortable stay. He provided us some breakfast items to start our next day, which was very kind of him. The apartment is located a little outside Ivalo and very close to wilderness so better rent a car. We could see the Aurora right from the backyard and a 10 minutes of walk takes you to a small lake where it's much more open sky to see the Aurora. Petteri was in constant contact with us and gave us very helpful tips and predictions about the Aurora. He is an expert. He made sure that our stay was comfortable and was available whenever we needed any help. He also offers other activities. He booked us a snowmobile safari and it was great in a smaller group. We are thankful to him for such a wonderful time.

Petteri as the host is wonderful and welcoming! He attends to every need of his guests. From overall information about the area, to helping with organising activities and tracking auroras. Petteri even provides first breakfast and some food (coffee, tea, cookies, candies). The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, warm, and has all supplies and items one needs for a stay. All facilities worked perfectly; especially warm floor is cool! Last but not least, the location is at the edge of wilderness that greatly helps with hunting auroras almost at your doorstep.

There is nothing at all we would complain about

Petteri was an amazing host and ensured that we had everything we needed. He was sure to update us all the time about the auroras and where would be best to see them (as we had hired a car). Petteri helped booked our excursions and was an amazing host. The location is perfect and driving was perfectly fine (mid Jan). The apartment had everything and was nice and warm.

Petteri (owner) is such a lovely person, beside the appartment he is really the cherry on top. He provides local knowledge and always has an answer to every question. On the other side, he gives time for yourself and is very calm and gentle. We recommend to book your activities via Petteri, because we had a nearly private snowmobile tour instead of having a tour with up to 20 snowmobiles… The appartment is smaller than others, however it provides anything you need and has a little romantic flair which is the right mindset for holidays in Lappland. We also enjoyed the local dinner with Petteri very much. So everything was perfect and great and we love to come back as soon as possible again. Thank you for making our stay something magical! 🥰

More than 5 Stars! Petteri is definitely the best Host that we ever had! Great Apartment with amazing Location directly to the Forest! Very, very, very friendly and helpful Host. We made an Snowmobile- and Aurora-Tour with Petteri which was both fantastic as well! Also the Transfer from Airport to Appartment and back was really good. Even a few days before we arrived Petteri contacted us regarding the Aurora Forecast. That shows that Petteri tryes everything to make his Guests happy. We will come back as soon as possible!

Honestly the best stay and experience we have ever had. Petteri was kind, passionate, knowledgeable and professional. He went well above any expectation on providing a great accommodation and excellent experiences. He made sure we had a fantastic view and experience of the northern lights which you can get a great view from backyard at the apartment. He also drove us down to the nearby lake late at night for no extra cost which has a fantastic view for the lights. The Lappish dinner he cooked for us was a fantastic experience and was delicious, was well worth the cost. He even made adjustments to make it vegan. His communication was excellent and provided frequent updates on when and where to see the northern lights. He helped us book other activities and provided an affordable tour and airport shuttle.
