Excellent location, such a lovely home so welcoming really enjoyed our stay

Everything, fabulous for a weekend stay , highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike

Spacious, high ceilings comfortable seating and large main dining table. Well presented main rooms which had a quality finish Kitchen was well appointed with a good range of appliances and cookware.

Musty smell at front door didn’t make a good first impression While the overall decor was good, the quality was let down by some poor finishes For example 1) toilet on first floor - toilet seat moves (hinges need tightening) extraction fan didn’t work but one just outside was very loud. Only switched that on once and didn’t again. The fan itself was dirty and was held together with tape 2) en suite - finish on ceiling and walls was poor, holes on back of door where a hook was poorly finished with tape. 3) curtains in main sitting room didn’t fit the window 4) windows in main sitting room had gaps which let in drafts and excess noise from the road/square. 5) main bathroom - finishes just lacked the quality of other spaces. These are all easy fixes but just needs some time to bring these spaces up to the same high standard as other parts of the property

Really super apartment in the heart of the town. Great views from all windows. Beautifully appointed and equipped. Spacious and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and lounge. Plenty of hot water and dishwasher. Host left lovely card and bottle of wine for us, really nice touch. Wish our stay had been longer.

En-suite shower really needs an upgrade. Shower head is no longer mobile and only faces one way and it's difficult to have a good shower. Stairs could be a problem for people who are not so mobile.

Excellent central location. Easy to park. Comfortable and exceptionally clean property. Welcome pack of wine, milk, biscuits coffee and tea especially welcome. Nice homely touches meant a very comfortable stay. Easy to communicate with the owners.

It was lovely to enter the kitchen and find a thoughtful hand written message to welcome us to the property along with contact numbers for our hosts - should they be needed. Along with that extra special touch of a bottle of wine and glasses to welcome us. The kitchen included essentials including milk, condiments and those essential emergency tins of beans - perfect if had travelled a long way and needed a meal. Plus a dog bed and dog bowl for furry friends. The apartment was spotless and towels large and fluffy. All toiletries were included and not just silly single use plastic samples - proper sized - more eco friendly, refillable bottles. The location was perfect - view from one side over the Abby and historical graveyard, then the typical market square with its cobbles on the other. Even though Scotland were playing in the Euros whilst we were there we were not disturbed by noise. Throw walking distance restaurants/takeaways and shops into the mix and what more could you want. The river walk is lovely - whilst we were not touring - it was ideally placed to visit the border towns.

Honestly cannot think of anything

Loved the fact the apartment is a true home from home. It's comfortable and includes lots of little touches, including a few essential groceries. I love the fact that it is totally private.We have stayed at the apartment before and absolutely love it.

Only downfall I can see are the stairs in property. Very steep and as we get older hard to get cases up. But it's the only downfall and certainly wouldn't stop us from booking again
