good places to eat within walking distance. easy parking and quiet

Very little in the kitchen. No garbage bags, I couldn’t get the oven to light. it’s gas. no stopper for the kitchen sink. I bought them one. Theres a sharp corner on a broken light switch in the bedroom. it’s on the ridge going around one of the two the switches. got me pretty good the first time I found it.

I loved that the place had a door code rather than having to carry around a key; it made walking to the beach for a swim or surf session or just heading out for a bite to eat a bit easier. The ceiling fans and A/C unit came in clutch on a couple of the hot days, and it was fun to have a ukulele to play as a learning experience. The TVs were rad, too! I especially liked being able to play music from my phone through the one in the living room over Bluetooth.

Having to leave Maui. 😂

We never tried the breakfast.

Perhaps a few more containers with lids. We enjoy our own cooking.

The owner was very helpful and prompt in communication. The unit was stocked with good beach equipment. I like this area of Kihei and this unit is very close to a nice beach and large beach park. Beginner surfing spot, volleyball and soccer fields right at your door. The TVs are excellent - but we didn't come to Kihei to watch TV.

The unit is located in the aging Kalama Terrace condos (name and address of the condos is cleverly missing from the listing). There are two 3-story buildings at Kalama: a newer one in front ("P" units), and an older one in back ("D" units). This property is in the older D building and views of the ocean are almost completely blocked by the P building. The picture of the condo building in the listing appears to be of the newer P building. What seemed to me to be an "ocean view" picture that heads the listing, actually depicts the blue sky reflecting on the photovoltaic panels on the roof of the P building - IT IS NOT THE OCEAN - see my attached pictures. This property should NOT be listed as "Ocean View" - it has only a very small sliver of a view of the ocean in the far distance to the far left where the ocean view is distracted by multiple telephone lines and poles. After staying there and feeling mislead by the "Ocean View" heading as well as the amenities list declaring the property to be "oceanfront" - which is clearly is not as the ocean is two condo buildings and Kihei's main street away - I did some research on comparable units available for rent at Kalama Terrace and discovered that I could have rented a similar unit for half the price I paid for this "Ocean View" unit. I felt duped. I also doubt that the unit is 875 square feet but I did not have the tools to measure it - it seemed much smaller. The kitchen and bathroom, while clean, seemed like 70s holdovers. It appeared the soft soap bottle in the bathroom had been watered down. The furniture was clean but small and dated. The listing says the unit has "washer/dryer" but fails to mention that these are located in a washroom in a building on the ground floor (no elevator) payable like a washateria.

Nice firm mattress, plenty of TV Streaming options, instant hot water in shower, close walk to beaches.

Bathroom sink stopper not working, ice maker not working, bed sheet & pillows need upgrading, no dishwasher nor dish drying rack.

My husband and I enjoy how clean the place is and the proximity to so many amenities. The advice provided, as to where to eat and other suggestions for fun activities and shopping were also appreciated.

Although a washing facility was on the premises, it would have been nice if a washer and dryer was in the unit. Also an elevator. Going up steps with luggage is more difficult for older people.
