Warm welcome and welcome treats, including for the dog! Location and ease of getting to places, enclosed garden and comfort.

Perfect location, right in the heart of the highlands. Jan and kelvin were very accommodating. Cottage had everything you needed and more, air fryer being a personal favourite. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area to stay here.

An amazing place in the Highlands of Scotland,located in a beautiful area for walking and seeing wildlife and a short drive from lots of attractions to see such as Loch Ness,Black Isle brewery and lots of whisky distilleries including glenmorangie. There are also plenty of beautiful nearby and if you time it right you might get to see some dolphins too. I am really looking forward to going back a again and highly recommend staying at jakel's rest the owners are so friendly and welcoming and do everything they can to make sure everyone has the best time staying with them😍.

The location is perfect. It is an easy walk to Lairg if you are reasonably fit. Great base to to tour the area. Jan was a good source for easy walks from the property. Lovely cottage with everything you need.

liked it’s central position to highlands, friendly hosts and nice views good easy one floor set up. very dog friendly. space to sit out and enjoy the views. bed was comfortable

personal taste but we would have preferred a little more extensive cooking facilities. perhaps a cooker instead of a dishwasher. we managed and enjoyed being creative with the single plug induction ring and microwave.
