Great location for the town centre.

The location is very good. An easy walk to the front and great local amenities.

Last year, I spent 5 nights with my dog in this property and we had a great stay. I was looking forward to returning this year. Unfortunately, the holiday was ruined by loud noise from workmen coming from the flat below, who were doing major renovation works. This noise lasted all day and even went into the evening on a number of the nights I stayed. In the end, it was so bad, that I had to leave early as it was making me so distressed and unhappy. Whilst the host of course has no control over work to other properties, I should have been told in advance that this was happening. I should have been informed either at booking or when the host messaged me the day before with check-in details and to inform me that bread and milk had been placed in the property. Had I been informed I could have altered the dates of my stay. After returning home early, I messaged the host and sent an email to try and discuss this situation before I submitted a review but I have received no message.

The stairs which we coped with but others may find difficult

Fantastic location near the beach, rail, shops yet peaceful. The owner was kind and helpful. The space was just right for our family of three.

Not a dislike, just a note for future guests :) the upstairs is in the attic/loft (very low ceiling and quite warm in the summer) and the stairs are steep but it would be a fun room for teenagers (there are four single beds to there). Not a complaint at all as we didn’t need the extra space but good to note.

The owner and manager went above and beyond. There was a problem with the fridge when we arrived and they sourced a new one, and delivered the next day. Just a 10 minute walk from a Morrisons or even closer to a Tesco Extra. The local Railway station is also close by. The best thing was the view from the porch window. The seafront could be seen, with a great view of Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae. Looking towards Cumbrae was also hand for spotting changes in the weather. The flat is close to the ferry port to visit Cumbrae and access via bus is also available to Wemyss (Weems) Bay, for Bute, and Ardrossan, for Arran. Loved it!

The location was great everything we needed was around us and my grandson was a two minute walk so that made it ideal

The only thing that wasn’t pleasant was when hot weather and we didn’t have a fun other than that there wasn’t anything to dislike

Location great for access to all places.Very clean and comfortable flat.

The fridge.No real temperature to keep food and drinks cool.Very poor.Could only get gas grill and oven to work.Hob might need checking.
