The apartment was spacious and with a good atmosphere. The washing machine was great. Gianinno the host was excellent. He met us at the railway station as the train was delayed and it was raining. He could not have been more helpful and even delivered some lovely sweet biscuits to our door. Highly recommended.

Amazing property inside the walls in Lucca. Third floor apartment with lovely views and gorgeous sunsets out of the 3 loft windows. An engineering masterpiece with an added floor with bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Lovely big shower and smart new bathroom. Great little kitchen with all you need to make a meal.comfortable couch and large dinning table made it feel like a home away from home. However the stand our was the most amazing host and his lovely daughter. I unfortunately had a bad accident in Lucca and spent 5 days in hospital. Giannino and Giulia went out of their way to help my husband and I and treated us as family. They came to the hospital , helped with finding a surgeon and looked after my husband while I was in hospital.They made a truly difficult situation so much easier. Gorgoeous town and gorgeous people makes this a truly wonderful location to stay.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor and the loft to the bedroom is an additional set of stairs. As expected in a centuries old apartment building. No issues until you have an accident !

For me the apartment was better in reality than in the photos. Large and airy with everything you need. Thank you to the lovely Giulia who looked after us whilst we were there.

If you have mobility issues perhaps don't book this apartment? As other reviews have mentioned there are a lot of stairs.... but maybe that's not such a bad thing after all the Italian food and drink. On Italian holidays we now take rucksacks because of the number of times we have to climb to our apartment at the top of a tall old building.

Giannino received us with the keys and showed us the apartment, which is amazingly located close to the city centre but far away enough to avoid noises and crowds. There are markets and nice restaurants nearby, and if you happen to be there for th emusic festival, there is no better place. The apartment is great, has a great kitchen with everything you need, nice common areas, a great bed and a clean toilet. The air conditioning is powerful enough to cool the room.

Only a couple things which were not great, the 2 floors without the elevator you have to climb and the bed in the upper part of the apartment, which is not really handy, but it is what it is.

so many stairs , we were on the top floor had to climb 54 stairs to our room 😞

We loved everything about this charming flat. Clean and comfortable in an excellent location within the walled city, access to amenities within a five minute walk. This fairytale city is such a joy to explore both within and without the walls. Giannino and his daughter Giulia were the consummate hosts! We will return!

Too many flight od stairs to the apt.

I specifically chose this apartment as when I looked on maps it was the closest to the train station when I was looking at dates. it was literally a 10 minute walk turning left out of the station. Great location in general, easy reach of the supermarket & main square & eating places. The host was very accommodating & very open with communication from the start, very much appreciated. Nothing. With the apartment being on the third floor, it was sometimes a little tiring walking up the stairs, especially when you’re a little unfit like us! But it was manageable & there wasn’t that many steps, we just took it slow.
