Garden Nikko Guest House

Manager was friendly. House is clean and organised with English labels on appliances. Coffee was great! Air-conditioning in both rooms. Happy to stay again next time.

Stove top is very slow.

The owner waiting for our check in although we are late by 40min. Overall I am satisfied with the apartment, rooms are clean, spacious, sufficient tea/coffee for us. 2 min walking distance to 7-11 shop and Masuya Restaurant, very tasty Japanese food restaurant.

Apartment was very spacious and clean, it also has a kitchen you can comfortably cook in. Akihito-san was very easy to communicate with and was happy to help us with our stay in Nikko.

It’s a little while from the main Nikko area (~30 minutes total) - the train station is ~10-minutes away and once there you can travel for free if you have a Nikko pass (or still cheaply if you don’t). From there, the travel time to Nikko is ~15-minutes on the train.

The apartment is big, the kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is great. We had everything we needed. Also there is umbrellas for rainy weather. The host was very communicative and shared a lot of information with us. The beds were comfy, bud the futon beds not so much. Thankfully we could choose as we had the whole apartment for us :) The evenings were cold in October but we could heat the apartment with the AC really quick.

The futon beds were really hard, so I moved to one of the beds in the other room. If it were up to me I would eliminate the armchair which is in the way all the time. There are way too much chairs in the place. You can live with that but a bit inconvinient. :)
