The location is the highlight of La Casa del Vino. Near all the attractions but still in a quiet alley. Great contact with our host Silvia too.

The standard seemed a bit low considering the price paid, however maybe it was due to the ongoing Antique Fair in Parma. However, it would be nice to receive a better quality of towels and bedsheets. It was clean enough, but I feel the whole apartment could use a proper deep-cleaning. Not necessarily a drawback, but still - have in mind that the shower is very small and a larger person could have a problem even entering it. Same with narrow staircase that leads to the apartment. The placement of apartments in the building, right beside the staircase is such that anytime somebody enters / leaves you hear very loud “buzz” of the door - we managed to sleep okay, despite that, but it can be considered a nuisance for some.

La stanza assegnatami (Malvasia) aveva il bagno ristrutturato, tuttavia puzza fortissima in tutta la stanza di muffa, umido, scarico…La biancheria del letto e del bagno erano umidicci per appunto il livello di umido in stanza. Anche il muro dietro al letto al tatto risultava umido. Ho acceso il riscaldamento per asciugare l’ambiente, ma dato che fuori era caldo, non potevo tenerlo la notte! Nella notte poi la puzza e l’umido se possibile sono aumentati, ma la camera è ad altezza strada/marciapiede, non si può aprire la finestra. Insomma sono questioni di salute: non si può soprassedere! A mattina ho scoperto che la macchina del caffè non andava. Un incubo: peccato perché la volta precedente ero stata bene, ma in una stanza ai piani superiori, con angolo cottura che in questa non c’era.
