Waterloo Farm Shepherds Hut Glamping with Sun Lounge

Lovely warm welcome. Lots of goodies for us and our companion Floki. Great seating area outside in a sun trap. Floki loved running around the secure garden.

Although the hut was small and compact it had everything a larger accommodation would have but on a smaller scale. There was a small welcome basket of crisps, sweets, biscuits and coffee along with a small welcome basket for our dog (although we didn't use them as we had brought our own). The bed was nice and firm which we like as were the pillows. The shower was amazing. Loved the wee sun lounge with it's own TV & selection of DVDs, books and puzzles - so nice to be able to relax there. Our wee dog especially loved the garden and as it was enclosed we knew she was safe sitting outside. We also had her own dog basket with us and she settled down nicely at bedtime to sleep. We did think that perhaps a mesh screen or similar on the door when it was open would be beneficial as due to the warm weather lot of flies and bees were coming into the hut. Location was great and only 5 min drive into Bankfoot to a Nisa supermarket and also the Taste of Perthshire where you could eat in the restaurant or have a takeaway. Dunkeld is also a short distance away in the car. Fabulous accommodation and we hope to return some time. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.

That there wasn't a small shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on but totally understand this was due to the lack of space.

The Shepherds Hut was the perfect getaway after a busy week. It was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location. I was in desperate need of some peace and for time to slow down and The Shepherds Hut really delivered.

We were greated on arrival by Wendy the owner who showed is around and told us about the history of the place. As we had our wee dog with is she presented us with a wee basket for him with some treats, blankets, poo bags and feeding bowls.

Nothing. The place was spotlessly clean.

Very friendly staff, very clean and well equipped. There's a big field to take the dogs.

It’s the perfect hideaway for getting away from it all, a gem in the countryside that’s still easily accessible.

Absolutely everything. The shepherd's hut was small but so cosy and stiff plenty room. For storage. Had Absolutely everything you could need to make it feel homely. Lovely views so so peaceful will definitely be back.
