HM - Infante Riverside Apartment N

Ideal location, only a couple of minutes from the waterfront. The apartment is outstanding, exactly as it shows in the photos online. Apartment was clean & had everything you could possibly need. Washing machine in unit is a bonus. Communication with host was super easy. Highly recommend & would not hesitate to stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to get back to Porto.

Great location just a stones throw from the Douro. We had a very nice view from the fourth floor overlooking the river and the Gaia bank. Clean and fresh. All the basic facilities we needed, no more, no less.

Bed is basically a cot and can’t be described as comfortable. A better bed would really raise the apt a notch. Sofa bed was OK.

Poor communication between the staff and the manager! The manager is not friendly, not hospitable!

The location could not be any better. Just in the center. Has a nice view of river and quiet despite being in center.

Everything. The apartment, the location, and the hosts were very flexible and answered promptly on any answers. The apartment is modern, beautiful view, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommended and coming back is a high priority!

Amazing location and views. It had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. The local host company provided the linen.. great fluffy towels! In May we didn't need the aircon but it's an attic apartment and I'm sure it would cook in the summer.

We booked at the last minute and the host was a little slow to get back to us when we wanted to make some changes, this was even more confusing because we got a lot of messages whilst we were trying to contact the host, only to realize they were all automated messages from Booking.com without actually providing any answers. A few minor points: washer/dryer but no drying rack, the bathroom has a slight lingering moisture issue, there were only cakes of soap, no shampoo/conditioner (just would have been nice to know), there is nowhere to leave luggage after checkout if you have a late connection. Oh yes; it's all downhill from the train station, so it's all uphill on the way back; if you've been to Porto this will make sense!

The decor and artistic look of the apartment was lovely, it is very modern and pretty and very clean. Everything seems to be chosen or designed for appearance, but not necessarily function. The location is excellent. The management staff were very nice and communication was good.

It was really not very comfortable, and there is not an actual balcony, which is the only reason we rented this apartment. The mattress is on the floor, and there is nothing - no night table, no hook on the wall, no table or shelf or hooks of any kind to put anything in the bedroom. Also no coffee table or side tables in the living room. I really couldn't figure out the bed situation. At first I thougt they just hadn't had a chance to get a platform frame, as if the mattress was on a platform frame and pushed against the back wall, you could put small side tables or even shelves on the wall as side tables, and then you could walk around the bed and sit on it. But there is an actual hole in the floor with some sort of base and the mattress can only be on the floor in the middle of the room. So your phone and water go on the floor next to you, and you crawl in and out of the mattress on the floor. It was very uncomfortable and I cannot imagine why it was designed like that. There is no balcony, there is a floor to ceiling window with maybe a 15 or 20cm ledge with a railing. You cannot sit on this "balcony", you can just open the floor to ceiling window/door and lean out over the railing with the door open. The apartment next door has an actual balcony, with a chair and table on it. I don't know why they wouldn't have made the ledge bigger, like next door, so it could be a functional balcony. I think whoever designed the apartment should come sleep there for a week and maybe they would make some changes. Sorry, but it is a beautiful place in a beautiful building in a great location - just not designed for comfort and functionality, which is sad.
