Apartment is really great it was just renovated, so everything was new. Metro station is 4 minutes by foot and just 2-3 stations to the City center, but you can also go by foot its around 15 minutes. Apartment was very well equipped with everything that you need. Carlos is very nice person, he recommended us many nice place to visit and explained everything.

Everything about this stay was perfect. First of all it's a fantastic value in porto. I prefer not to stay in the middle of all of the tourists so this location is fantastic. It's very easily walkable to anything but you're not in the middle of all the tour groups all the time. The building felt very secure which is nice as a solo female traveler. I work while traveling so the Wi-Fi is important. Wi-Fi here was consistently very good. Once in awhile I would get an unstable connection but I was here 2 weeks and that happened less than three times. The rest of the time it tested at 100 MBPS or better. Portugal was my 16th country and I usually stay and set ups like this. Carlos is an amazing host - easily the best I've had in my travel experiences. He stayed in touch throughout and helped me with every question I had. Of course, you learn to find things on your own but when you have a local telling you quickly the best place to find anything, it's super helpful. He hooked me up with a referral to an amazing esthetician. Also there is a metro stop very close for when you're coming or going with the bags.

Honestly, nothing. I would have been happy with less rain while I was in Porto but I don't think the host of this apartment could do anything about that :-)

First off, Carlos is an amazing host. The apartment is very nice, located off a main street with some construction work being done behind it. This isn't much of a problem if you're waking up early to travel the country, otherwise be prepared to be woken up at 8-9AM. The apartment is 4-5 minutes walk from trindade metro station. The old style elevator is charming and going back to modern elevators seems boring haha. Close to the apartment is a super nice cafe - São Jorge Padaria e Pastelaria, good coffee, delicious pastries and sandwiches.

Leaving Porto.

Carlos is a super host, he met us at the apartment, showed and explained everything important to our stay, gave us lots of information about Porto (places to visit, name of restaurants, groceries, parking, a bit of history of the city), and was proactive and friendly. the apartment is well located, totally remodeled and with nice decoration which makes it cosy and nice. I strongly recommend Casa das Musas.
