Riverside City Centre Apartments

We have stayed at several places on this trip and the Riverside Apartment was a comparatively very good value property with well functioning kitchen, Wifi, electrical, and plumbing. The building retains its historical character and facade, but is thoroughly remodeled inside. The unit was quiet, spacious, and well situated to walk Porto Old Town and the Gaia riverfront. The private owners live nearby; were friendly, helpful and ready to respond to any consumable needs

Old Porto is stairs and hills with rough sidewalks and roads. Plan accordingly

Hugo was an excellent host, gave us lots of information, nice views, excellent location for porto and sights, comfortable apartment, well furnished and clean

Close to city centre, in a typical Portuguese residential environment

Estaba limpio y cerca del centro. Los anfitriones muy atentos.

El sofá cama de los más incómodos, nos quedamos 5 noches y hemos dormido muy mal. Las aberturas ruidosas y el piso un poco levantado. La publicación decía “vistas” y solo veiamos casas abandonadas.

Good location with easy walk into the city centre. Apartment was big and airy and had everything we needed for a few nights stay. Hugo (and his dad) were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and was very quiet facing the garden.

The fridge was a bit noisy (on and off) and I kept waking up thinking someone was breaking in.... Was not an issue for my wife, only me.... The apartment was more basic than I was expecting and (I only realised now we are back) that we did not stay in the apartment I thought I booked.... Not a massive deal, but I wondered why the garden view apartment we were in didn't look like the penthouse view one.... The park across the road is a little sketchy further away under the bridge, but we had no issues and did not feel unsafe.
