Charming Clérigos Studio

The studio is located in an old building in a cute street, within walking distance to all main attractions. Despite its small size it is well equipped, it has a tiny kitchen unit, enough to make a quick breakfast before heading out for the day as well as a washing machine, an ironing board etc. It was clean and well maintained. We haven’t met the host but they seemed very nice and were helpful.

The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the fact that the studio doesn’t have an AC so on a hot night you need to keep the windows open and as always in a city centre, it can be quite loud. There is a fan in the flat but we found it a bit too loud to have it on at night. Otherwise it was great.

A beautiful property right in the heart of Porto. The apartment is tastefully furnished, exceptionally clean, spacious and comfortable. You wouldn't get a better deal in Porto, it is situated around the corner from Rua das Flores and a few minutes from Sao Bento station. Everything is provided for self catering including a washing machine and the bed is very comfortable. I found the apartment very quite and peaceful especially when you close the shutters.

1/Once in location- looks as in picture- quaint bed takes up most of room, with end tables and bureau. 2/Washing machine and drying rack (soap packets were provided) were useful. 3/It was quiet once windows were shut for sleeping 4/ Nice little table/chairs by window- early opening pastry shop across street for breakfast treats. 5/ Overall great location and walking distance to everything we wanted to take in. 6/ Felt very safe walking late at night. Easy entry but steep stairs.

1/Had two initial contacts regarding our arrival time- was told it was a 3 min walk from station, however never mentioned construction and detours around sidewalks! We ended up hiring a uber driver who dropped us off farther than we originally were! Finally found it as host's friend was coming to "find" us, mentioning that he would have come to station to get us but that was never offered in the two contacts I had with the female host which was a bit frustrating and would have saved us a bit of stress and money! 2/ Great windows but need to close in evening so even in October we needed small fan on to sleep. 3/ Cooking really wasn't possible, coffee filter broken, need to provide own filters/coffee etc. 4/ Tiny Shower area needs to be updated with new grout- black- wore flip flops entire time there. 5/ Once inside-steep wooden stairs weren't always illuminated well at night. FYI-Sink for washing up outside along marble counter with cooking sink
