The free parking is great in a parking garage just across the street. We found the location good with a straight forward walk into the centre. Communication was good and the agent was there to meet us with the keys. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

We really enjoy the comfort beds and the good location. The staff was very helpful and kind.

The A/C in the main bedroom was a little noise, but not such a big deal.

Unfortunately, our experience was awful from the get-go. André reached out to us a day early to ask if we knew the exact time of our arrival, which we didn't, and told him we'd let him know the following morning. We messaged him at around 10 am (four hours before Booking's check-in time, which was meant to be after 2 pm), but we never heard back. We arrived at the apartment (Sunday's Apartment in Porto) by 2:40 pm, only to find the cleaning lady there. She didn't speak English, so we had to talk on the phone to an older woman who was unpleasant to us the second we told her we needed the apartment and it was well over the intended check-in time. She just said the cleaning lady had yet to start cleaning and needed a whole hour to do her job, so we had to wait until around 15:30 to enter the apartment. We then spoke to André, who said it was our fault for not letting him know when we would be arriving, to which we replied that we did and he didn't reply. Furthermore, given Booking's check-in time, the apartment should have been ready by 2 pm, certainly not an hour and a half later. We told André, and he clumsily tried to make up excuses by stating that Booking has it wrong, and the correct check-in time is 3 pm. We then asked why the cleaning lady hadn't even begun by 2:40, to which he didn't reply. The apartment was very short on toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and tissues. There were no garbage bags (and possibly a garbage bin, to begin with, given that the only one available in the apartment is extremely small). At this point, our communication with André was already sour because, even though we did say we were sorry for not letting him know when we would be arriving by the time he asked, he still denied any form of responsibility on his side. It was all our fault, according to him.

The first morning, my partner woke up with a sore throat, which we believe was due to the apartment being very humid, especially at night. Since she wasn't feeling well yet by the time we had to leave (after three days), we reached out to André asking if we could stay a little longer after the intended checkout time. He evidently wanted a happy resolution, and so did we, and thus he said we could stay up until 3 pm instead of leaving by 1 pm. I took a shower at around 2 pm, and by the time I was done, the door of the apartment opened. No knocks, no anything. We freaked out and asked who it was and what was going on. No reply. I quickly dressed and rushed to the door to assess the situation, all while asking once again who it was, with no reply. I found an older woman, who I assumed was the same one we spoke on the phone with when we checked in, just standing there, staring at me. We then asked what was going on, and she barely said she needed the apartment because the guests that booked it for the day were already there. I told her that André said we could stay until 3, and it was barely 2:20 pm, to which she said we needed to hurry. We closed the door and tried to pack our stuff as quickly as possible. We were basically done twenty minutes later, and the door opened again. Like before, the woman (Olga), didn't say anything. We left but still said goodbye to Olga. She didn't reply, looked at us sideways, and slammed the door after we left. We then texted André, explaining what had happened. He just started blaming everything on us for no reason, considering he agreed to let us stay until 3 pm (of which we have proof in the form of a screenshot). Then, he said we were rude to have perceived we were not welcome there. Because of course, someone's opinion is rude if it's not the same as his. EDIT: Thank you for proving you are a horrible human being once again, André. Denying everything and stating my partner wasn't sick when we never met.

We picked this place because of the high ratings and free parking and both exceeded our expectations. It was great to have covered garage parking just around the corner as we walked around the city. The interior was beautifully done, just like the photos. Very functional. Our son stayed on the sofa bed which was comfortable. Though there aren't so many shops within the first block of the apt, it was just a few minutes' walk towards Balhao. Andre was very helpful with suggestions of what to see and where to eat.

There are three locked doors to get out to the street...slight adventure when the upstairs guests inadvertently locked the middle shared door when they went out, trapping me in the lighted stairwell because I had just shut the apt door to go out to join my husband and son. Had to wait 30 min for my husband to come back to unlock the door from the outside. There was already a warning note on the second door NOT to lock it and I'm sure that future guests will be more clearly forewarned. So if you stay here, don't lock the second door! :-)
