This was a business trip, and I explicitly informed both Booking.com and the property management that the reservation was not for me. Despite this, they kept contacting me to ask for the arrival time. I repeatedly informed them that the guests' flight was scheduled to land at 23:00 at the airport. They apologized for the confusion and told me to simply notify them once the guests landed. The flight was delayed by one hour, landing at 00:00. I messaged the property as soon as I knew the guests were at the airport and went to sleep. At 00:40, I received a call from my clients: they were stranded on the street because the property had cancelled the reservation and they had nowhere to go. The property NEVER mentioned that if the guests didn't arrive before 00:00, the booking would be cancelled and the money forfeited. They conveniently "forgot" to mention that crucial detail. It is common sense that even with a 23:00 landing, between take the luggage, book a transport, pass the passport control, can easily take over an hour. They knew the timing was tight and chose to remain silent just to cancel the booking and refuse any refund. Once they cancelled they said- THIS IS WHY WE ASKED MANY TIMES YOUR ARRIVAL TIME. Even after their negligence left my clients sleeping on the street (as everything else was fully booked), I tried to reach an agreement through Booking.com so the guests could at least check in the following day. I just wanted them to have a place to stay, but the property rejected even that. Extremely disappointed with the LACK HUMANITY and professional ethics. Avoid this place at all costs.
