Riva - the heart of palace

The apartment was wonderfully located in the Old Town with stunning views of the water and promenade. We were greeted by Vlado on arrival and made to feel at home immediately. It was clean and had everything we needed for a 3 day stay. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Ok, so to get to the room, you have to navigate quite a few stairs to get to the Building, and then the 3 winding stairways up to the 3rd floor. Not easy with 20+ kg cases, at our age ! Sadly the assistance that others have commented on wasn’t there for us. Getting to & from the room on a daily basis was bad enough without the cases !

Location and View were amazing. Great atmosphere and very close to restaurants, shops and tours. Vladimir was very helpful with suggestions, restaurants etc

Quite a few stairs to climb to get into apartment but you are staying in the old palace.

The location is awesome...it's in the Diocletion Palace with a 1750 year old wall, and absolute waterfront or RIVA location. Right above the main promenade restaurant strip. But double grazing ensures it is quiet. It is recently renovated and done superbly...parquetry floors, exposed historic brick walls, Euro quality bathroom executed beautifully. Great water pressure.. Fridge, coffee maker, super comfortable bed..we didnt want to leave after our 4 night stay. We would just sit in the front the windows and admire the view and watch the coming ang goings of the port. The hosts are extraordinary. Responsive incredibly helpful. Nothing too much trouble...even helped us with our bags and booking a local cab to.make sure we didnt get ripped off by the local cab drivers on our way to the airport (which is common and we experienced ourselves). 10 out of 10 isn't enough!! A real GEM!!! The first picture shows the apartment on the top floor..the 2 middle windows. The main plaza is about half way up the building and immediately behind it.

Nothing negative to say about the apartment at all. Only one observation for any mobility impaired prospects...it is 67 steps up from the plaza level...and the plaza level is a 10 minute walk or 400m to the waterfront with no steps through the old town. ... or another 22 steps down and about 100m to the waterfront. We got a lot fitter, quickly!

Perfect location right in the palace. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts were excellent and were very helpful with our luggage and went out of their way to bring us to our ferry. Pictures of the room are exactly as shown.

Nothing except you have to be able to climb 67 steps.

Nothing to do with the accomodation itself - but not for the faint hearted if you’re not a fit person! Lots of steps up 😂
