Amazing hospitality. First the property was well done, clean, modern, and easy to access. Then you enter to a cold beer, water, juice, and fabulous homemade biscuits. I could not ask for more!

Nothing - though I would recommend saving a map to the property on your phone since internet inside the walls is sketchy.

The apartment was beautiful and surprisingly modern, a renovated jewel located right in the center of the city, within the Diocletian Palace in Split. Although situated right in the middle of a lively nightspot area, the shutters and soundproof windows kept the apartment quiet when we were ready to retire. The bed was comfortable, the shower very good, and the air conditioning effective. Silvija was an amazing hostess, communicating regularly from the time of the original reservation; providing instructions to our taxi driver from the airport, helping with our luggage, and providing a map and suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. She provided us with samples of local fruit, drink, and “rafioli” and a referral for an excellent driver (Toni) for our early morning departure flight who helped carry the luggage from the city apartment through the cobblestone streets to the car. She couldn’t have been more accommodating.

We are in our late 70s, my wife with a hip replacement, and me with a knee replacement, so the steps to the apartment, as well as to navigate around the wonderful offerings of Split were somewhat challenging. That was not unexpected, however, and the only thing that adversely affected this wonderful visit was the heat, which was physically draining as it reached temps well into the 90s and reached 100F.

Bars downstairs a bit noisy on sunday night, but they closed punctually at 12am so it was quiet after midnight.
