Tolle Lage, sehr ruhig und direkt am Meer. Ausblick direkt auf den Pico. Musikalische Abendunterhaltung durch Gelbschnabelsturmtaucher :-) Sehr nette Vermieter, versorgen einem mit Informationen aller Art

Alojamento enquadrado em local típico que nos faz sentir que la pertencemos. Maravilhoso.

First, it is important to say that Sao Jorge is a great place to visit. We spent a whole week there and were sad to leave. This is also due to the great house and its incredible location. The ocean in front, the agriculture and vegetation all around. The fantastic hosts supported by Rosa, the pillar of the family, as well as the surrounding community. It is really a relaxing location with the continuous sound of the ocean. We slept with the windows open to hear the ocean and the cogarros (we quickly got used to their calls).

Nothing. Among all the houses that we rented, this one offered the best overall experience due to its qualities, its environment and the nice and generous people around.

Großartige Lage mit Meerblick und einem schönem Ferienhäuschen im traditionellem Stil. Die Ausstattung war gut und hat uns alles für einen insgesamt sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt geboten.

There were a few positive things about our stay: —Great location for reaching all parts of the island. —Magnificent view of Mount Pico on a clear day.  —Easy check-in. —Parking in front of the house. —Excellent communication with the host who always responded very quickly to WhatsApp messages.   —Large kitchen table with 4 chairs.  —Large enclosed shower stall. —Paper towels were provided in the kitchen.

There were lots of negatives that made our stay very uncomfortable: —There was no heating unit so we were very cold in late April (had to wear our coats in the apartment to stay warm). —Bath towels and hand towels never dried due to the lack of heating, so we used damp towels every day. —No bath mat was provided, only a bathroom rug that did not appear to be clean.  We had to use one of the kitchen towels as a bath mat. —It was very difficult to fit the shower wand into the wall mount so the wand had to be held by hand while showering (very inconvenient). —The shower head was cracked and sprayed water in all directions.  It appears there was an attempt to repair the crack with plumber’s tape but it was not adequate.  Buying a new one would be a simple and inexpensive solution. —It was not possible to get hot water in the bathroom sink without first running the shower for a period of time to get the hot water flowing. —The bed sagged in the middle. —Wifi was provided over an unsecured network. —Definitely did not appreciate the outdated and extremely unsanitary practice of putting a decorative pillow on top of the bed’s clean pillowcases (decorative pillows that guests put on the floor and are not washed after every stay).   —The price was extremely high for such a poor accommodation. (We paid less on other islands in the Azores for much nicer places that we rated 10.) Overall our stay was a bad experience and we cannot recommend this property to other travelers.
