Apartment DS

The apartment was easy to access and very conveniently located in the heart of the old city of Zadar. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to make breakfast easily for the family. The owner was very accommodating about allowing us to drop our bags and get in a little early as we were very tired after an early morning flight. I very much appreciated that as we all needed a rest.

The street noise was very loud and we should have used the AC to help drown it out. The sheets could have been softer. They were not cotton and quite scratchy.

It was a spacious 2 bedroom (double bed in each) apartment in the old town. Excellent instructions given how to locate the apartment and gain entry. Beautiful bathroom and a balcony off the back of the apartment. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There was a general store very near the entrance and heaps of good restaurants and bars around.

My bed was fairly firm but, if you like a firm bed, all good. Not a great view but not terrible.

The apartment is in a prime location, in the heart of old town. There is a supermarket beneath the apartment which is convenient and there is a parking bay close by. The owner is prompt with his responses and always readily available. We had a fantastic time in Zadar.

Lack of elevator

Apartment was spacious and very clean, easy to locate and very central. A comfortable base for us. Well equipped with towels, blankets etc. Cable TV.

Due to its central location, it was noisy at night from the street below. Kitchen was a bit small for us (we couldn’t all sit around the table together) and we would have appreciated a few more glasses and cups. We struggled to lock the balcony doors (although this wasn’t a big problem as it is above street level and felt very safe around).

Parking was a little way away, which obviously isn’t the apartments fault, as location is great, but could be better explained. We also couldn’t find a lift, so if you have a physical disability this is really tricky and should be explained that there are 2 steep sets of stairs to climb with your luggage.
