Almost Country

We felt quite comfortable during our stay. The accommodation is very well maintained, and it was great to have our own carport. A double bed would have suited us better, but we simply pushed the two beds together and, of course, left everything exactly as we found it. The property is located on the outskirts of town, which fits its name. A well‑used road runs nearby, but most travellers will be up early anyway, so it’s not really disturbing. Many thanks to the friendly hosts — they respond immediately whenever you have a question.

Very comfortable accommodation. Peaceful, yet close to Taupo township. Loved the lounge and kitchen.

Kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten, weder im Bad noch im Schlafzimmer. Die Kommode im Schlafzimmer gibt es nicht mehr (Bild), der begehbare Kleiderschrank ist voll mit Sachen des Vermieters, der Schrank im Bad steht voller Putzmittel. Wir sind zwei Monate im Land unterwegs und reisen daher mit relativ viel Gepäck, hier mussten wir improvisieren. Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel, die restlichen Möbel teilweise schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

The space was perfect. It was clean and spacious and comfortable with a large bedroom, nice bathroom, kitchen and patio. They also had laundry which was convenient. The owners are on sight and very nice and helpful.

As the name suggests it is a little far from the center of town, about a 25 to 30 minute walk to get to restaurants and other services.

Situation au calme et à proximité de la ville. Maison spacieuse, confortable et fonctionnelle. J'ai apprécié pouvoir utiliser la buanderie des propriétaires.

Such a great place, everything is nice!

Owners live in connecting build. We arrived early and they not only accommodated that, but dropped us off at our concert, which otherwise would have been a 25 min walk and picked us up otherwards. We forgot our concert blanket so their son brought us a blanket down. Nothing was to much trouble. Treated us like we were close friends. The unit was beautifully furnitured , clean and welcoming. Then there were the goodies for breakfast, bread, jam, cereals, yoghurts,juice, assortment of teas and coffees. Very pleasant surprise.

You can't improve on perfection. Didn't like we only had one night there, would have liked longer.

I could come and go without disturbing others or being disturbed.

There was some bread and condiments in the fridge so I was able to have a snack on arrival which was very welcome 👍

Road was a little noisy at times
