The accommodation was perfect for us. It is out of the busy parts of Taupo. Yes, almost country. The facilities were spot on. Breakfast was light and perfect for those who want to be on the road early. The heating was effective.

Great little spot near not too far from the race track and town safe parking for the car. Hosts were very welcoming. would definitely stay again.

The property had a rural view on the outskirts of Taupo. This suited me as I was heading north but wasn't near a supermarket or restaurants if you were staying longer. The property is located on a main road which was quite busy during the day, but quiet at night. It was great to have a carport. The bedroom had two single beds - comfortable and with an extra duvet. The owner had turned on the gas heater prior to my arrival, so it was nice and warm. The kitchen was well provisioned including a continental breakfast. There was a lovely hot shower.

It would have been great to have a choice of pillows - something thinner and softer would have been great.

Pillows wasn’t to my liking, I would bring my own next time
