On The Banks

Alistair communicated clearly with us prior to our arrival. We have stayed at his other property, the Merrimeet, both properties are recommendable.

Fantastic location right on the river. Turn left out the back and it's a lovely short stroll into town and turn right, there is a gorge walk. Good clean facilities and comfortable stay.

The location, easy access to the gorge walk and to the town centre Kitchen well equipped, very good oven and hotplate Nice flat screen TV, WIFI was totally inadequate, free to air channels only.

It’s run down, requires a lot of maintenance especially the bathroom, the most annoying part was the grinding noisy fan (as the light and fan are one and the same) Lack of security especially on the entrance doors. Not much air circulation in the bedroom, needs a fan or air conditioner. More lighting is needed out the front and especially at the bbq area

We loved the property - it had every thing we needed. We loved being on the river and the easy access to walks and to town. It was quiet and easy. We loved the gardens and even though it only had 1 bathroom the space was great for two women with all their paraphernalia, and the toilet was separate too. The sheets were clean and crisp. We didn’t use the kitchen except for breakfast and it was perfect. We loved being able to sit outside in the morning in the sun and resting comfortably at night in the lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. .

The property was perfect, so this will seem nit picky and not really an issue but the beds were very hard. We did get used to it though.
