The location is really good.

Let me share the worst experience first. The owner of the property had a birthday parth in the lawn during our stay. There was loud music, louder shouting and talking till very late in the night. We tried to complain, but to no avail. We were with a kid and our parents and the nuisance made it difficult for us to relax or sleep. We didn’t pay all the money for a good location to put up with so much inconvenience on a holiday. We, along with those staying in the other rooms of the building, were furious. Now the other issues: The staff that showed us in was really lacking professionalism. She spoke to us in a very passive and almost rude tones. We had a lot of questions but she seemed disinterested in really answering anything properly. Also - we had inquired about “toiletries” availability before we reached, and we were told they are available. When we reached, we see no toiletries in the bathrooms and had to go out and buy. It is okay to not provide toiletries but at least make the effort of keeping your customers well informed.

Nothing to complain

- Location - Cooking utensils - Perfect view of the Alps and Lake Brienz - Balcony - Comfortable For a family or group of friends, this place is nice and relaxing. You can cook simple meals. They have a dishwasher too so that was a plus. There were also restaurants and cafes nearby. The train station was just a 3 to 5 min walk from the place. If it's not that expensive, I would probably stay there more often.

- Check in was a little weird. Arrived at around 11pm, which I have communicated earlier through Booking.com. I booked this one given that their checkin is til 00:00 because we were checking in late (driving all the way from Paris). Called upon arrival and owner wasnt very happy and told me its past 10PM. Like what? I just laughed because it brought back memories to when my dad used to scold me back in the day when I arrived past bed time. Anyway, he wasnt as grumpy the next day. - Cleanliness could be improved as it was dusty on some parts like the floors and the sofa. There was a sock lying under a table.
